if XT is back to a reasonable weight and gets his first step back, our DL is set up to be pretty nasty this year. a lot of size and a lot of depth...inconsistent on the edges. He and Simpson on passing downs will be pretty ridiculous with the combination of tackles we got setting the depth of the pocket...
I have really high expectations for the defense. Which is weird, b/c I've said last year's D was atrocious...but I've blamed it on youth / inexperience.

We still got Nolan Turner and The Venables Boyz roaming the field? Yeah, then I'm still concerned about our defense.
The D line should be better, and I really like Trenton Simpson. We'll see soon enough.

we've heard, but what we haven't heard is worth noting. We hear comments about how well specific defensive players and groups are playing. We have heard little if any from the offense. The best we've heard is that the QB saved his best day for the last scrimmage. Faint praise. Like you, hoping for the hype.
