It would suck that FSU and Clemson open the ACC to get out and are stuck in the ACC with no NC or UVA. But I still like the BIG12 unlike most people here if the money is right

Don't worry Phillips will go get us Oregon ST. and Washington St. to replace UNC and UVA. He is good at last minute reactionary desperate moves.

The beginning of all of this. It has been clear that UNC AND UVA are the top 2 for the SEC and most likely for the big 10. I have been seeing and saying this only to get the usual idiots to come bash. The two leagues will have to go to 24 for us to get an invite to either. Keep in mind Notre Dame is the top choice of either conference.
Big preference most likely 1. Unc - NC State if unc goes sec 2. UVA - VT if uva goes sec 3. Fsu - miami if fsu goes sec 4. Georgia Tech or Clemson
If BIG goes to 20, we don't get in, if it goes to 22 we probably get in, if it goes to 24 we definitely get in.
SEC 1. UNC - NC State if unc goes BIG 2. UVA - VT if UVA goes BIG 3. West Virginia 4. Clemson 5. FSU 6. Colorado 7. Arizona
If SEC goes to 18, we don't get in, if it goes to 20 we probably get in. If it goes to 24, we definitely get in.
I do recognize the Clemson pros and cons.
Pros Brand Stadium size Fan support Atmosphere History of titles
Cons State Academic perception

CLEM's academic perception is not bad--part when comparing to SEC. That's a non-issue. Outside of ND, not other FB programs bring more marquee matchups and money than clem and fsu. None. Not any of those other teams above. UNC and UVA are in due to other reasons.
We (and fsu) will be in P2. Listen to your coach. Watch what your admin has done.

The fans of teams in the B1G and SEC would prefer to add weaker teams because they fear having to play Clemson and FSU. In the end though, it’s all about the money. Clemson and FSU bring eyeballs. That is what the networks will pay for. The only way UNC and UVA are added is at a reduced rate, Fox and ESPN will not pay full rate for those 2, and don’t expect Ohio State or Alabama to take a pay cut to bring them on board.
The only schools that would be added at full rate are Notre Dame, Clemson, and FSU- regardless of what the fans want.

Why do you fall for this. It does not matter what the conferences want, it matters what Disney and Fox want. It is their investment, not the conferences.

FOX would love to have Clemson and Florida State in the portfolio, but I took that into account when I posted the selection order. Perhaps, the FOX investment factor could move FSU and Clemson up a spot with the BIG. I don't think ESPN will affect the SEC selection list.

I'm seeing the SEC and B1G each expand to and stop at 20.

Once we've helped dissolve the GOR question and reduced our exit fees to something reasonable, I expect the SEC would add:
Clemson UNC NC State Va Tech
SEC would then have four natural scheduling groups (Clem, SCar, UNC, NC State, and V Tech; UGA, UF, TN, KY, Vandy; Bama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss St, LSU; Tex, TAMU, OK, Arky, Mizzou) then 2-per the others. 10 league games per year is definitely in their near future.
UVA has B1G all over it; Ga Tech would also likely follow that path to get them to 20. They're already at 9 league games, so expanding to 10 seems pre-ordained.
I am actually starting to get the feeling that FSU, despite its size, atmosphere, and brand appeal, might present more baggage than the staid P2 are looking for. Them and Miami could make a nice package deal for a Big 12 ++ arrangement.

This is the most trash post I’ve seen in a long time. All the moves by the SEC and B1G have made them stronger. Why would they all the sudden make a move to get, UVA, VT, GT, Etc.. and make them weaker? If they aren’t interested ins FSU and Clemson then they aren’t interested in anyone outside of ND and Maybe UNC.

Even if the plane has major malfunction still no one jumps without a parachute.
FSU might be obstinate, difficult to manage and often the tail wagging the dog no one will ever convince me the heads of that university are stupid. We know Clemson's BOT isn't.
Click bait indeed! That entire broadcast is an insult to Clemson and FSU. I will never give that guy another second of my life.

Correct. Hardly anyone in NC or VA give a hoot about those FB teams. NC cares about UNC/DUKE basketball. VA. has never done squat in FB.
You will find the lower half of all teams sucking up the money will always not want new power teams added. It just means more losses for them which could knock them out of a bowl game they barely qualify for. So, if asked about adding FSU OR CLEMSON, they are going to say no and trash them. And then some writer can publish an article saying Un named sources don't want FSU because they are meanies and want too much.
