in the ACC, so TV market arguement is a just plain false. The overall record? A red herring, until the 70's, all games were played at GT.

His first reason is FLAWED. Sorry, but no one in Atlanta gives two ##### about Tech. It's this order: UGA Braves Falcons Tech Hawks

This guy was pissed when someone on twitter pointed out that Clemson's Nielsons ratings were about 50% higher than GT's, this despite the fact GT is in a much more populous city.

When Texas goes to Atlanta for a game, it will be like a home game.
Probably buy up season tickets like bama at dook

He may be right in some manner, but from what I've heard and read Ga. Tech isn't likely to leave the ACC without assurances that Notre Dame would be joining in full after 2015. Clemson and FSU are ready to pursue membership now and as I've seen recently the Big 12 and Tech are just in opening discussions, especially as a result of the ACC Spring meeting and the new bowl announcement.
Clemson's Advisory Committee better seek IPTAY and other key donor input, but if they are smart then Clemson is merely awaiting an official invitation from the Big 12.
Go Tigers!

GT over Clemson hands down.
Larger state Atlanta market More recruiting Higher academics Would be more attractive to Notre Dame
Ironcally, a school like GT plays the academic snob card until its absolutely clear that they can't afford to any longer.
And Chuck Oliver's site as made a complete reversal from saying Clemson and FSU wold be fools to abandon their academic priorities and go to the Big12, to now pushing GT that way.

why, in his opinion, the Big 12 should take GT over Clemson. Nowhere did he say the Big 12 was interested in GT along with FSU, and of all the rumors about this stuff no one is saying FSU and GT. GT has only been mentioned as a possible 13 or 14th team.

Clemson and FSU are in this together. Both are already in. The deal has been agreed upon in principle. Now we will see the necessary public steps to exit without law suits and such.
