Hate to agree with a Mountaineer but the WVU coach is correct. The bullpen move was a colossal mistake. Many times games had to be stopped for balls getting loose onto the field and the addition of beer sales and proximity to opposing players turned the drunken frat boys and rednecks loose to embarrass Clemson with their obnoxious behavior. The flipping off and cursing of opposing players was more like Cootlumbia than Clemson. Shameful.

Plus other teams have to place a lineup of protection players for line drive foul balls and loose bull pen pitches. It simply takes away from the beauty of the park.

We don't need that kind of environment. If Bakich wants that kind of environment, we don't need a coach who wants to degrade our baseball stadium or culture with that chit. I doubt he would want his team exposed to that. It's bush league. Neff needs to fix it yesterday.

There was an article where Bakich talks about wanted the bullpen there. He wanted the fans to be rowdy to the other teams. This one may have backfired on Coach. This bullpen thing has drawn a lot of negative comments . I agree with some poster who said Clemson is better than this. Clemson is way better than this . Put the bullpen back where it was.
Now on to the music. Turn it down!! I personally know premium seat season ticket holder who have complained and it falls on deaf ears. I have seen older fans get up and leave games because the music is so loud. It does not have to be that way. The season ticket holders. Know got the response “Coach Backich “ wants it that way.
You want a crowd into your games , put an Omaha quality team out there. You won’t have to do it with loud music and fans on top of the visiting teams bullpen.

Reminds me of how VT puts our band in the extreme corner of their stadium’s upper deck. Really poor sportsmanship.
Does not represent Clemson well. Even if we had won, it was still a bad look for our program. Hope Coach B fixes it and then focuses more on recruiting, development and mentality than style, nicknames and in-game interviews.

I would agree that this setup is a bad idea. Heckling from the stands is one thing, but drunk fans shouting obscenities at opposing team players from 4 feet away is not a good look for Clemson. It looks more like something you would see in Columbia or Knoxville.
We are better than this.

As far as being "too close", the pitcher could have toed the rubber next to him. Afterall, The "mount-anears" dont have any problem fingering the relative next to them. Problem solved!!!

it would tag someone standing behind the pitcher. It's gonna happen at some point for sure. That or punches.
It was a nice little experiment but i'd agree that alot could go wrong over there and no one but Clemson would be to blame. That area is only gonna attract the drunken idiots and if you didn't know, drunken idiots tend to not act right. And then couple that with still getting beat on your home field even with that setup seems a bit desperate and embarrassing. That type of look on TV really does feel like something out of Coot U.
