Lunge peeples: Any of yous have Amazon Prime??

Nov 19, 2012, 9:27 AM

thinking about it, more so for the video streaming than the 'free 2 day shipping blahdydah'....

Any lunge expert reviews? Worth the $75 or whatever a year?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It's worth it for the shipping alone, have never used the

Nov 19, 2012, 9:29 AM

video streaming part. If you have Netflix already, it's not worth it, if you don't have Netflix, then it's worth it.

I don't (currently) have netflix....We don't really

Nov 19, 2012, 9:31 AM

buy alot from Amazon to make that a deciding factor...
I'm back to thinking about dropping DirecTV and going solely antenna/streaming....

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If you have it, you will use Amazon a lot

Nov 19, 2012, 10:20 AM

I got it free through a promo and bought a ton of stuff from there. I bought a lot of random stuff like socks and a raccoon trap.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

how many raccoons do you have now***

Nov 19, 2012, 10:30 AM

He was dispatched with a shotgun behind the AGR house.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

why random socks?

Nov 19, 2012, 10:25 AM [ in reply to If you have it, you will use Amazon a lot ]

You'd think that matching pairs would serve you better....

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I can only use one at a time for fapping

Nov 19, 2012, 10:29 AM

who cares if they match?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Nov 19, 2012, 10:29 AM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Haven't thought about Amazon Prime

Nov 19, 2012, 10:28 AM [ in reply to I don't (currently) have netflix....We don't really ]

my Leaf antenna is coming in this week. After that I'll be trying hulu and netflix.

I'll have to think about Amazon though. I'd probably make that fee up on shipping.

Made in Raleigh, NC. Great reviews.

Have you found any way around ESPN? I'm not sure about that 1st row site.

do you know if joining ESPN insider

Nov 19, 2012, 11:33 AM

will allow ESPN360 viewing without the "proper" cable provider bs?

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

do not believe it does***

Nov 19, 2012, 3:02 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well that sucks. The Mohu Leaf works

Nov 19, 2012, 10:33 PM

It came in today. Picks up all the networks and some I've never heard of in good looking and sounding HD.

Next up is to try the Hulu and Netflix free subscriptions.

Still digging on ESPN, but fully prepared to dump them. I'm going to try setting up again on an approved ISP and then remoting in from here. That used to work, but never for long.

Any of you momos want to send me your ESPN360 ID and Password? ;)

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I bought a Mohu Leaf, it works great

Nov 20, 2012, 8:06 AM [ in reply to Haven't thought about Amazon Prime ]

I found it on slickdeals for ~$22. It was a refurb from the manufacturer. It literally feels like a piece of laminated construction paper, but works like magic.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yep...Just stuck mine to the back of the TV.

Nov 20, 2012, 12:22 PM

works great...somehow.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It's worth it if you use it.

Nov 19, 2012, 9:30 AM

And it's not if you don't.

Re: Lunge peeples: Any of yous have Amazon Prime??

Nov 19, 2012, 9:41 AM

definitely worth it, have made the 80$ back just on free shipping. The selection of free Movies and tv shows will keep you busy for about 3 months, but they do not add new titles as often as netflix.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not worth it if you are only taking advantage of streaming.

Nov 19, 2012, 9:58 AM

The movies that are free for streaming are much older. The good titles and new releases you still have to pay for.

Have both Netflix and Amazon prime.

Nov 19, 2012, 9:59 AM

Honestly, Amazon prime seems to have as much as Netflix. I've considered dropping Netflix. We have Amazon prime because we do a lot of online shopping, so we make the fee back on the shipping. But, the movie selection is comparable to Netflix.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Here's the little known secret about Amazon Prime.

Nov 19, 2012, 10:27 AM

You can share it with up to 3 or 4 family members (they get the free shipping).

My father and father in law are both on my acct at no charge.

If you wanted to, find someone else who wanted it, and didn't care about the video streaming, and just get them to flip you $20-30. It's a win-win, and they would probably come out ahead just from having their Christmas gifts shipped.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

you are correct.

Nov 19, 2012, 10:29 AM

that IS little known.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Here you go....it says "in the same household" but

Nov 19, 2012, 10:32 AM

that's never been a hangup before .....the two on my acct clearly have different addresses from me.

Around Christmas it works great

Nov 20, 2012, 8:10 AM

but, I can always manage to spend $25 at amazon and get the super saver shipping. I just keep a watchlist full of items I need and use them as filler when I make a purchase. Also, the 2 day shipping is fast, but honestly Amazon refuses to slow their shipping down when using SuperSaver shipping. They say they will group the products together to save money but add time, but they don't, and if it's from a Amazon distribution hub, I get it next day.
