2. QB controversy is brewing = team division
3. Furman Coach has a "Quiet Confidence" about the game = focused opponent
4. Rain = a great equalizer
5. First game with a giant scoreboard = distraction

Could be, but don’t underestimate point 4. Dabo already leans conservative early in the season. More so in bad weather. Would not surprise me for it to be 13-3 at half and us being solidly in control.

1. When you have the bank Dabo already has, going from 93M to 115M over 10 years probably doesn't really move the excitement meter that much.
2. I don't think we have a QB controversy until a change is actually made.
3. Furman coach says the only thing he can say.
4. Rain to me is the biggest factor in covering the spread.
5. First game of the season in Death Valley, the new toys, and our crowd will add more than it will distract.
Absolutely no upset alert here. Last week you might make the case with GA Tech based on history but not this week. I think the guys come out with something to prove this week, especially on offense, and I believe they will rise to the occasion.

Now, if you base your case on covering the spread of 44.5 points, I could get on board with that. We would have to beat them 45-0 to cover and if they score a TD, now we have to score 52 points. To me, covering the spread is the ONLY risk in this game.
