I'd like to thank Elon Musk for digging up this old video

And then placing it, without my input or following or anything, on my Twitter feed.

When this clip first surfaces years ago conservatives pointed out how this shows the media is corrupt and controlled. The words have since been added about mind control. Just another example of how the MSM operates.

The back story on this is NOT what I expected. The chorus of PSA's was obviously orchestrated. But how? And why? Well, seems all these local stations were owned by Sinclair Media. Owned by the Smith family, a family of billionaires who also fund and donate to many conservative super PAC's. They were big funders of Trump and also pushed hard for conservative appointees to the FCC.

And they sent this message to all of their stations demanding these segments be aired.

Which begs the question? Who is in the business of controlling minds? It seems to be at least bipartisan these days. Maybe mind control is spending billions to buy a social media company where you can then elevate your posts to be seen by everyone? Social media is becoming less and less.... Social. I could block Musk and the posts he elevates will still show in my feed. Which is also now populated by fight videos it seems.

Anyway.... Is what it is.

John Oliver did a nice story on this about 6 years ago.

Yup. A lot of us have been aware of Sinclair Broadcasting for awhile now. They were trying to accumulate several hundred other local stations around the country in this big merger...but Fox helped kill it. Fox didn't want a rival appearing and eating into their market share.

My sister could give you the full run down, they bought

the local station where she was an evening anchor of almost 20 years. She hightailed it to NPR for much less money.

LOL. Anyone who suggests media as a whole and the number of minds effected is right biased should self select themselves out of all political discussion.

Good for Musk digging up and assembling the Sinclair Synchophant clips … “Extremely Dangerous for our Democracy … eeep, rrrrr, Extremely Dangerous for our Democracy” montage.

Everyone on earth has heard the ‘That is just more misinformation … That is just more misinformation …’ refrain endlessly from the National News cabal.

Clearly, Musk’s business motive is chide viewers of TV news for being brainwashed. Everyone. All thanks to political agendas from the corporate masters (or in the case of Public television and NPR, political ideologues whom the taxpayers are coerced to pay).

Musk’s alternative for (?) unvarnished (?) news? Might that be TWITTER?

yeah, I think NPR works out to 8 cents per person annually of public funding or roughly .000004% of our discretionary spending. That is a lot of coercing.

Whatever they are paid via the taxpayer, NPR is a partisan news outlet.

The federal govt disburses money to fund this partisan outlet = nix.
