Except, on tariffs and their consumer impact, Trump may be worse.

Hard to say. Trump and Biden are so similar on foreign trade.

With respect to the import aspects of foreign trade, both Trump and OBiden Handlers have many similarities.
The divergence becomes apparent with respect to the export part of foreign trade. OBiden Handlers are too obsessed with pandering to components of their core (political) constituencies to optimize America’s export business.

Sorry, that is a partisan lie peddled by the oil companies themselves. I hate it when people lie, know they're lying, and keep right on doing it because they think it plays, and that's pretty much Big Oil's default setting these days. And the oil industry's spin machine deliberately and completely distorts honest conversation and puts us at one another's throats - over lies.
The truth: the American LNG industry is now by a bunch the world's leading exporter, and the "ban" on LNG permits has zero effect on LNG intended for the American market, and even on existing LNG exports.
It concerns only future LNG export projects that were already in the authorization pipeline for product intended for countries with which the US does not have a free trade agreement, and it has very little to do with "green" concerns. The reasons for it are complex and actually have a lot to do with protecting the American consumer. The worry is that the oil companies, as ever, are enriching themselves at the expense of driving prices up in the domestic market.
And of course the oil industry responds to it the way they respond to everything these days. With faux outrage and pure bullsh!t.
I dunno why this is such a news flash to many, but: OIL COMPANIES CARE ONLY ABOUT MONEY. SPECIFICALLY, THEIR OWN. NO MATTER WHO IT HURTS. AND THEY LIE, LIE, AND LIE SOME MORE ABOUT EVERY ASPECT OF THEIR INDUSTRY.

Don't know why that would amaze anyone. Blaming evil greedy corporations and/or gaslighting everyone that they can't believe their own eyes and ears are hallmarks of the lefts attempt to never take any responsibility whatsoever for their terrible policies. Maybe this guys only been here a few weeks or something.

It is indeed a shame that corporate greed became a thing during the Biden Administration when corporations were good citizens in prior administrations.
I am thankful that Joe has pointed out the shrinkflation in Snickers bars and in potato chips.
It's nice to have a leader focused on such matters.
1992-"It's the economy, stupid."
2024-"It's a messaging problem."
TBD-- The 2024 theme works
