Obviously we havent seen much, but who do you think will have the better career? Which one of them becomes the man after Justyn Ross and Amari Rodgers leave after next season?

Yep...but one guy at a time is usually the man. Higgins this year. Ross next year I would think. Now the year after..

Ngata. He reminds me of a faster version of Tee Higgins and Mike Williams. He is a brute that will dominate DBs who physically cannot stop him. The difference is he can get separation easier. (Not saying Higgins and Williams are slow).
I don't have a feel yet for Ladson. He seems to be a tall speed-burner. Need to see more of him. Maybe he's the kind of guy TL can hit on a slant route, change direction a little bit and go to the house. We need a receiver like that.

Ngata is nothing like Higgins imo and is also a touch slower. Higgins is blazing actually.

Higgins rarely outruns DB's--I don't think he's all that fast. "With the First Pick" has this to say about him (among other things):
"He ran a 4.75 40-yard dash as a high school recruit and while he’s likely gotten faster since then, he’ll probably be a 4.6-guy when the combine and pro day circuit arrives.
Higgins’ best asset as a receiver is his exceptional catch radius and leaping ability."

Yeah I would compare Ladson closer to Higgins and Ngata more like Ross. Ladson caught a deep ball late in the game against VA and I thought it was Higgins until I saw the number.

Both will be stars here, but if I was forced to pick, I'd probably say the bigger, faster, stronger Ngata.

To me in the little we have seen them play - Ngata is a taller Ross and Ladson is a shorter Higgins.

Ngata's physicality gave him the edge this year.

But Ladson can fly. He's got legs like a stallion. A longer taller Sammy Watkins. I expect him to come on next year, if not a couple of big plays down the field in the playoffs.
Two outstanding receivers with different styles.

Ladson: He is about three or four just missed throws from earlier in the year to already have a breakout. I think one play was set up beautifully against UNC and the throw was off. If it drops in it was 6. He caught a great long pass from Chase in the UVA game.
Its coming!

Plus he will get all of that time in the weight room before next season. I bet Ladson is a freak. He looks smooth.

I dunno.
Ladson looks faster and certainly accelerates faster; he plays the 2 and those guys usually get more catches for fewer YPC because they catch most of the screens.
Ngata looks like your classic 9 and I think he'll be a nightmare there.
Best guess is 2020 is Ross's year; 2021 I think is a two-man show between the two. Which one ends up rating higher overall? I dunno. It's a good question and one that's intrigued me as well.

I know that coming into the season Dabo talked about Ngata a good bit, but I have been very impressed with Ladson. That said, I have to admit the raw potential guy I'm most intrigued guy isnt even on campus yet, Ajou Ajou. The one bit of film I saw there was a LOT to work with for our coaches next year.

Ladson Will be "THE GUY" He's Taller...he seems to have slightly better hands..and he's already the fastest receiver on the team. I think he has 8-10 TD's next year. I think NGATA gets his too, but I think he's gonna be overshadowed by Ross some in the 9. I just think Frank looks like a different animal than Tee or justyn. More so sammy Watkins but make him 6'4.

Right now; I like Ladson more! But, ultimately I think Ngata will be the better WR!
Ladson - will be awesome and star here. But, Ngata seems to have some type of extra external motivation driving him. That drive will make him work to be the best. Plus, with his raw skills, he is already primed to be a breakout player! Similar to Justin Ross who didn't start a game for us last year; but hailed by many to be our best WR(no way it's Higgins). Ngata has that type ability!

I'm just waiting to see which O31-O State DB thinks he can relax a little with Ladson or Ngata in the game and get burned.
