Does he remind anyone of Mukuba or is it just me? Both had stellar freshman seasons that were followed up with regression as sophomores. Both were asked to play new positions as well. Mukuba was moved from safety to nickel. Barnes was moved from nickel to safety.

Totally agree, my Commie antagonist. Last year he was always around the ball making plays. This year he is out of position a lot and usually nowhere to be found.

I think they were hoping to play Myles Oliver there; but "he got hurt AGAIN"! Barnes is 100% playing out of position. I would almost say, try Ashton Hampton there and let Barnes move back to his more natural position. But, I am not at practice everyday, so I don't know. Just from my outside point of view, what I would do.

This is the failure of not utilizing the portal.
We had to move Mukuba to nickel in 2022 because we didn’t sign a transfer CB. We had lost Booth and Goodrich to the NFL. Daylen Everrette decommitted when Venables left. Instead of signing a portal, we offered Myles Oliver late. He’s had zero impact and it made Mukuba suffer as a result.
Same with Barnes this year. We lost Mukuba to the portal and Jayln Phillips to the NFL. Instead of getting a portal player, we signed Joe Wilkinson late instead. Covil and Griffin aren’t ready, so Barnes had to be moved out of position and is now regressing just like Mukuba did.
It’s crazy to witness it all over again.

Our inability to use the portal is having negative consequences on individual players that are being forced to play out of position, thus delaying their own development.
Dabo is not only hurting the team overall, but he’s also being detrimental to the development of our actual stars.
No wonder why our recruiting is getting worse.

It's our fans' expectations that don't match our programs' philosophy based on todays ruined landscape.
Personally, I've lost interest in college football since NIL and the portal. I didn't seek that out, but I just don't care as much anymore when kids don't even care about what they are doing stepping foot on a college campus via full ride. I just don't. I may be the only one, but I think it has trickled down within the school's programs all way to the fans.
It just doesn't feel the same to which I've never held back.

Yeah, the sport isn't enjoyable anymore. I used to watch a bunch of teams, but now I only watch Clemson.
