It's shocking how many CFP teams...

Have had a significant number of players enter the transfer portal following the playoff announcement. I understand that most of these players probably weren't playing, but I imagine there's a negative effect on the locker room. Some players are leaving and taking calls from other schools, while others are preparing for a national championship. Will we see in impact on the field this weekend?

Here are the teams in order of how many players have entered the portal since December. An asterisk is for the number of QBs.

Arizona State: 11 Out / 2 In 
Texas: 9 Out / 3 In
 Georgia: 8 Out / 0 In
Tennessee: 8 Out / 1 In
 Boise State: 7 Out / 1 In
Ohio State: 6 Out** / 1 In
Clemson: 3 Out / 1 In 
SMU: 3 Out* / 2 In
Oregon: 6 Out / 4 In
Indiana: 3 Out / 5 In 
Penn State: 3 Out* / 1 In 
Notre Dame: 1 Out / 1 In

Another interesting thing to note: Noble Johnson committed to Arizona State. Clemson could play them next in the playoff. What are the rules around intel into a former team's playbook?

The portal needs to change. It is out of control. James Franklin mentioned how there needs to be a commissioner for college football, someone who is unbiased to a conference. There is absolutely no leadership in college football and it shows. Yes the SEC and B1G commissioner are trying to show that they are leaders, but really all they are doing to looking out for their conferences. It has become the wild west each and every year.

I don't believe you will see great coaches similar to Saban, Bowden, and even Dabo in the future without some serious changes in college sports. Who would want to manage your entire roster each and every year? Nobody is guaranteed to come back on your roster these days.
