Honest question for conservatives on TNET..

If Trump (or any president) ignores federal court orders that block his executive actions, is that something we should be okay with? I grew up believing that the Constitution is the backbone of our country, and my family members served in the military to defend it.
If a president decides to override the courts, does that weaken the system we’ve always stood for?

They will just point to something Biden or Obama did and claim that it justifies Trump doing whatever he wants. Some of them have already called for federal judges to be arrested for ruling against Dear Leader.

I know you were really upset when Biden defied SCOTUS twice to pay of personal loans of people, so I know this isn't selective outrage from you.

The 14th ammendment grants citizenship to all person born in the US

The 16th ammendment states that CONGRESS has the right to levy income taxes.
So yeah Trump is trying to circumvent the constitution through executive powers
I'm guessing he'll go after the 15th ammendment next.

immunity are eligible for citizenship if born in the US. “Blue list” diplomats have full immunity therefore are not subject to US laws and there kids aren’t automatically citizens. People who are here in the country illegally don’t have immunity and therefore are subject to our laws; so, the diplomat example doesn’t apply to immigrants. If you MAGA idiots wanna change it the solution is pretty simple; give all immigrants full immunity to US law and then their kids won’t be citizens. Easy peasy; Trump can do it in the same ceremony where he cuts the ribbon on the new Trump tower he’s gonna build in Gaza city. But you didn’t want a real answer did you; you never do.

Great question. It would be nice if the courts and our lawmakers had a backbone, but they don’t. It’s do what Trump days or get primaried by MAGA. The days of our constitution are probably numbered very shortly now. When someone other than MAGA takes office and rules with an iron fist policies they don’t agree with they will then wish we still had a constitution and a representative government. MAGA and Trump were suppose to get us out of Ukraine and wars but looks like Trump is going to try and prove he can take more land than Putin. Will that start a war? We’ll see. There may be lots of MAGA regret if our children go off to fight a war for Trump. Awful big price to pay with U.S. young lives to “stick it to the dems” instead of finding a way to work together, being polite, loving your neighbors etc…
Be kind, love your neighbors. All of them. God loves all of us and sent his Son for us. Trust in HIm, He reached out with love.
What am I reaching out with today? What are you reaching out with today?
Have a blessed day today.

that the reason conservatives fall for conspiracy theories so easily is because if they were in power they would do exactly what the conspiracy theory is claiming.
So the idea the government is "corrupt and targeting political opposition" is real to them because if they were in power they would absolutely use the DOJ to target their enemies. They just can't conceptualize not everyone is greedy, selfish, and unethical.

You ever heard the zinger about JFK Jr still being alive? I have and that spiracy theory came from my MAGAT right wing neighbor across the street. What about chem trails? Heard about those? Yep that zinger came from the 84 year old MAGA loving father of my friend. They spend too much time reading all that foolishness and whole heartedly believe it. It’s ridiculous and naive as fuq

should go to court.
A POTUS is not a dictator.
With that said, if it is clear the courts and court supporters are promoting socialist and communist ideals that are clearly un-American and violate long-held laws and truths (like the "E" in DEI violates the 1964 Civil Rights Act), then maybe there's a need for more thought put into this.

It's way past time for Congress to grow a pair and legislate and for both sides to condemn Executive Orders as standard operating procedure in DC.
We will have a true Constitutional crisis if SCOTUS puts up a stop sign and Trump drives through it.

I agree with the orders regarding the 14th amendment as there are definitions in the 14th amendment that need to be resolved by the courts.
Now, the judge blocking the executive branch from the Treasury. . . that should be ignored by Trump. Completely fine with it.

If a judge rules against Trump, that means the judge is radical and corrupt, and thus should be ignored.

That said - the Federal Courts are way too political. (Just find a liberal judge to shoot things down or a conservative one to prop things up)
THAT said - EOs are way out of hand. But the reason is - Congress is so partisan now, the only way to get anything major done is to try an end run (EO).

I would make the case the true conservatives aren't part of MAGA...just to get that out there.
And to the point, no, we should not be ok with anyone ignoring the courts.
