Bottom line: AAC, ACC, B12 teams have to win their way in

And SEC, B1G teams have to lose their way out, of the CFP.

That just speaks to the reality of what ESPN wants.
It would be fine with the mouse if there were 6 SEC and 6 B1G teams in the brackets. Those are the schools with the huge alumni bases, the huge pocketbooks and the huge audiences that ESPN craves. So, stay interested in CFB if you like, but just be aware that losses are not created equally. An SEC team is allowed as many as 3 losses and an ACC team is allowed 1, and at the very most, 2, losses. As we say, follow the money. The SEC/B1G fans pay the bills, so it is their tournament. Thank you very much.

That is just 2 bricks short of a full load because you don't know the Playoff guidelines. There will never be a time that the winners of the ACC and Big12 are not ranked. The AAC just happens to be the highest ranked G5 this year but it could be any other conference next year. It is also highly likely that Notre Dame will continue to ranked in the Top 10 each year.
