Is that dumb a$$ gong still played on 3rd down?

Not at the game but heard in once on the TV broadcast. There were several posts last week that it would no longer be played. Only heard it once and hope it was not on every 3rd down.

IMHO the gong is irritating and sounds cootish - they have the "It's 3rd down" and the gong, or at least they did when we played them there.
