SMU will pay however much to whomever ask, to see that happen. Evidently McCord couldn't take the cut in pay that attended an NFL contract.
BTW, I don't believe a loss to ND is considered a conference loss.

LSU I’m sure. I guess they feel they can’t call for an undefeated season for lil ol Clemson!
I find it funny that the guy picks Notre Dame over Clemson while admitting they don’t know who their QB is going to be while ours is going to be a 4 year veteran former 5 star recruit who already lived up to his hype by Jr year.

Yeah, that’s par for the course, isn’t it? For ND, it’s standard along with SEC teams to give the benefit of the doubt…
"As long as Notre Dame has a viable replacement waiting for quarterback Riley Leonard, the Fighting Irish should be back within striking distance of a national championship.
For Clemson, the same situation would automatically change the narrative to being too tough to expect being within striking distance of a national championship when replacing a veteran QB.

I would say that he already has our August 30 match up against LSU as our 1st loss. I can't believe he has us losing to ND without knowing what type of season that either will have. I totally hate da's like this one that has us losing to a team that he will be pulling for to win, the one he probably likes better, and then they will have all their excuse ready for how it happened without ever saying that they were just wrong bc Clemson had the better team!!!

With an experienced DC I wouldn't worry much about our D, the is good, it was the lack of Goodwin's experience that made our D so bad against decent teams, he was flat out getting out coached without a clue of how or what to call for the D...

One could say in the UGA, we were evenly matched and we let the gain get away from us in the second half.
Against UL and the Coots, we flubbed big time. Terrible execution.
Against Tx, I think we held our own until they overwhelmed our poor run d.
For 2025, we will be unstoppable if we can avoid poor performances by players and staff.
