We're open and owe them a beatdown.

Sure would be fun. Wish we could’ve just not had this citadel game, which we shouldn’t be playing in any way shape or form, and had another fun game like that.

Swoffie made out the schedule. He made sure CU played the longer distance schools (Syracuse,BC,Pitt) rather than UNC,NCSU and Duke.

First, they have to find out what classes they have.

I'm starting to think that having the one nonconference game

|

was a mistake. It made more sense when teams thought they'd be playing their SEC rivals, but once they backed out, we should have done the same.

Agree. Been saying that all along. Just more risk (injuries,Covid) for nothing gained. My guess is many of these games will be canceled so conference games missed can be made up.

I wish we could schedule Coastal or anybody for that matter. But the logistics of pulling that off in 2 days would be impossible I’m sure.

Not enough OL? Heck we've never had enough OL since CTB days and yet we manage to squeak by

Is this going to lead to SEC teams canceling games vs Alabama due to "covid issues" ?
That would be funny.

That contact tracing stuff is stupid.. Someone test negative but just because they were around someone that was positive, they have to lock down for 2 weeks??

Depends on what kind of test they are administering

I think the Big Ten is trying to circumvent the contact tracing with the daily antigen test that can provide results within minutes. If you are only testing once every 2-3 days or test results take 2 days to get back, contact tracing becomes more necessary because there was potentially 48-72 hours that this person could've been positive and unknowingly spreading the virus.

I think every conference is using the rapid test now tho.. Clemson is testing on Fridays and knowing on Saturday who is a go and no go.. I just don't think it needs to be a 14 day lock down for the players that test negative, but may end up positive in the next couple days.. At most I'd say quarantine for 2 days then do another rapid test.. If they are still negative, play ball...

I would agree 2 weeks seems excessive for just contact

tracing without ever having a positive test. I'm not a medical expert though...

If quarantining is needed for 14 days due to contact tracing - this will hit every team in the country...

UNC has an open date Sept 26 and our AD announced today that we’re looking for an opponent.
Coastal Carolina Western Carolina Middle Tennessee State Western Kentucky and Navy
Appear to be viable options

I think it doesn’t matter where the opposing team is from, but the game has to be at the ACC team’s home stadium.
