It's time to move the Carolina Clemson game to Charlotte....
Nov 29, 2017, 9:37 AM

For safety reasons. If this game is to continue, we need to eliminate games in Columbia. It's not a safe environment for Clemson fans or the team. Give us 1/2 the stadium, and they take 1/2 of the stadium. Separate parking lots as well.

The NCAA or the SEC should just step in
Nov 29, 2017, 9:42 AM

and tell them that they've forfeited the right to put the student section next to the visiting team entrance. And because of things also thrown on the sidelines, the visiting team's band and fans will now be seated behind the team. Every team does this to intimidate the other team, the White Trash bunch has forfeited that right.

It's not just the team at risk. How many Clemson fans now refuse to go to that game over prior abuse? Can you imagine anyone over 65 going to that game? Taking children? The gamecock fans are out of control. I've been to several games there and it seems to get worse every time I go. Are we going to wait for a bad outcome to do something?

You can’t just wimp out on your team because you were “treated bad” at an opposing team’s stadium. The team doesn’t have that option. Trust me they don’t want opposing fans there so when you just quit going they win. Good lord these softies kill me with the “run & hide” crap. Go to Williams-Brice, be loud, be bold above all BE PROUD. We’re Clemson Tiger fans people. We’re everything they wish they were.

There is a difference in age here. Its one thing for college kids to talk trash to other college kids. This aint that! This is 18-40 year old trailer trash acting like they're on crack with no respect for anyone of any age. Its disgusting. Its not healthy and it should be stopped.

I can agree with you on the kids to an extent. My only thing with that is the over sheltering. The world’s not an easy place & there’s no better method of teaching than by example. If kids are exposed to things, (and before any snowflakes get on here with their ridiculousness) to an extent, they will learn to better handle things. Again, the whole run & hide mentality is causing a great collapse in our society.

Clemson's student section is not at the opposing teams entrance.

And at clemson the opposing teams band and fans surround their entrance.
Coots place their band and their student section around the entrance for opposing team and facing the clemson sideline, not behind it.

Visiting teams warm up in front of our student section and The Hill.
The usc band is on the sideline on the visitors side on the students end.

Move it to Thanksgiving, maybe the spirit of the holiday

would calm the tension. Play the game at 1 pm. Big Thursday would be back. No more fuss over a lame name. The name "Palmetto Bowl" sucks.
I'm also in favor of a pre-game sportsman's handshake. We did it in 2005 and there were no altercations/late hits/personal fouls in the game.

... going to cause problems. Way too much time for fans to "tune up for the game."
Fans in general hate noon games, but the players and the coaches actually favor them.

The SC Legislature should rescind the law....
Nov 29, 2017, 10:04 AM
|
|
It is time for the SC Legislature to rescind the law requiring Clemson and USC football teams play each other every year. This "rivalry" has run its course.
The game has rarely helped Clemson and given USC's dismal football history, it usually can only hurt. In a world where won-loss records and "strength of schedule" are the dominating factors in determining rankings, Clemson would be better off adding another dog-act to the schedule rather than risk a loss to a team that adds no value to SOS valuation.
The disgusting display of sportsmanship by USC fans last Saturday was a slap in the face to the University and to the state of South Carolina. I thought I had seen the worst of the worst at Louisville and NC State but nothing compared to the behavior of the USC fans. Let's hope this type of poor sportsmanship does not become pervasive and leadership at USC addresses this quickly.

It's time for SCar to be forced to address the safety issues
Nov 29, 2017, 10:09 AM

If they don't have the integrity to do it, the SEC needs to force the issue. They were an embarrassment to the conference on national TV. I have a friend who is a FL grad who said it was the worst he's seen, and that includes UGA.

The presidents and ADs need to have a heart to heart about seating taking fan safety and promoting a family atmosphere into consideration. I haven’t been to WB since 1979 when my vehicle was vandalized with lipstick. I attended Clemson home games for 25 years and never saw the behavior at Clemson that I saw in Columbia and on tv last Saturday.

Why punish Clemson and take away a home game for the actions of coot fans , students and players at the roach motel.
No way you take this home game away from.
Maybe more cops patrolling the coot sections of WB especially the students section. Or put Cameras in the stadium identity those who are quality and put them in jail and give them a hefty fine.
IMO bad idea!

I like the idea of making it a day game---the coots had all day to get liquored up and generally speaking, they can't handle their liquor very well.
They're all bark and no bite. To date I've never encountered a chicken that wanted to absorb punches for very long, lol. They're generally garden-variety rednecks who take out their poor lot in life on visiting fans.

First ain't no Tiger scared of a chicken or their fans. It has always been that way in cootville and will not change. It is obvious that their administration is OK with the situation. This clap trap about moving the game or canceling it is crazy.

start times...ask the SEC and tv networks to work with them to get this time slot or 3:30 at the latest. Puts all their fans in the same boat, and all are responsible for behavior...no turning a blind eye. A couple of years of that and the culture will change. Don't want the series to end, even for 1 year AND should be home and home. Holding it in NC is blasphemous.

I am surprised at the number of wusses on this board that claim to to be TIGERS. If you can not, will not, defend yourself or the ones who are with you in a hostile environment, then it is best that you stay home.
Yes usuck fans are aholes, but 34 points sent them to the exits like rats leaving a sinking ship. Stop whining and crying because you don't like how you were treated, bottom line is we beat their a## like a dime store drum!!!
