Not even close to being the best. Do you think he was better than Hooker or Hyatt? Was he better than Bennett?

Bennett's not even the best player on his own team. Not sure who I'd have voted for, though. Maybe Duggan or one of those running backs who didn't even get an invite. Blake Corum and Bijan Robinson were both great this year.

You're right I meant to say Duggan and not Bennett. Duggan wasn't flashy but he was deserving. He did more with less.

USC’s defense is trash and he got injured in the PAC chanmpionship game. Woulda coulda shoulda, but that’s why he’s not in the playoff.

Stay with me. The poster said he was playing with a bunch of rag tag transfers. But Caleb was also a transfer. I still don't think he was a better player this year than Hooker, Hyatt or Duggan. I would even say Young had as good if not better overall season. Just my opinion. I hate what the Heisman has become. They vote befoe the year is over, some casting votes a month ago, they give it to usually offense only. They do not give it to the best all around player. The award is not the QB or RB award, it is suppose to be for the best all around player.

It pretty much always goes to an offensive player though. I think if Duggan got it he would have been deserving as well. Caleb is a good pick though. If you go by stats he was the most deserving. USC was also 4-8 last year. Caleb is a great player. He will be favored for the Heisman again next year.

Well, thank you for at least a rational reply. We may not always agree but it is good when posters reply to have a discussion and bot an argument. I respect your opinion my friend.
Unfortunately, the whole reason for my post was to say the Heisman is a joke because it rarely goes to the best player in college football, it usually goes to the best QB or RB.

I bet Cade, if he can stays heathy will get an invite to the Heisman ceremony one day. As far as this past year, many say that the actual best college player was Will Anderson. They say he is a generational talent.

Will Anderson Jr. Because he is not an offensive player he doesn't deserve it?

TL never deserved the Heisman. Deshaun maybe. Caleb might be better than both of them. Time will tell.

I don't know. He could be. He will the first pick in the draft after one more college season. Time will tell how well he does.
