Nothing but cutting and grinding welds with a dash of welding. I have replaced both the inside and outside flanges which hold the bottom of the rear glass. The more I removed the more had to be removed.
I have the inside flange welded in place which went relatively quickly. The outer flange was a beast. I believe fatigue set in about the time I started cutting the replacement metal.
I apologize for not having photos of the current status of this portion of the project but the last two days I made it 8+ hours by getting up at 3am and working early morning hours rather than during the heat of the day. I reckon that's how the rest of this will be.
I was so tired and concerned obsessed with getting this done right that photos never entered my mind. A misplacement or alignment issues with that flange may lead to the destruction of my rear windshield.
I will shoot photos of the flange late tomorrow and post them here after my shower and fluid replenishment.
