How can Auburn put a giant Paw on their pavement, but Clemson, who's signature is the paw, is scared to put paws on the repaved roads for fear of pissing off the DOT?

Isn't that much the same thing as by Sikes?

How is that different? (And it's a different paw, so that much is different, but it doesn't seem like they are somehow less scared and doing something Clemson won't)

But what he posted as a "why can't we do this?" was a photo of a situation almost exactly like a paw we do have.

Maybe I should have worded better.

However, sometime a couple years ago, when a group sought permission to repaint the paved roads, they were denied, because it may interfere with known road signs and confuse the great drivers in SC.

And I agree on that

My point was the location in the photo is much the same as our sikes location, which, as far as I know, hasn't been an issue.
I'd agree that the paws on 123 shouldn't be an issue. Just don't see the Auburn situation as really being a commentary on that one way or another.

Mainly because if our road in front of sikes is paved, I'm not sure the paw will be placed back on it.

The head of all engineering at SCDOT is a Clemson grad. Give him a call and find out.

JCC, is this on their campus? Maybe that makes a difference

to the DOT. 123 isn't clemson property or on campus.
