I can understand Lawrence at No. 5 - he is still just a junior. But, Watson at No. 3 is a little irritating. I guess you had to win the Heisman Trophy to get in the top two. Other than that, cannot disagree too much with the rankings.

I get the feeling the Heisman is literally the only thing that kept him out of the top 2 spots.

I thought that they were going to have to close the ACC due to all of the gushing praise and videos ESPN gave Rivers. They made it seem like his graduation was the end of the football world.

So Deshaun wins the Davey O'Brien trophy twice, yet hes not the best QB? Hmmmm. So many comments to make... Didnt make a name stealing crab legs Didnt get into trouble for sexual assault Didnt have a coach get caught for impropriety and then quit abruptly I guess there really isn't any bad media coverage after all
Whoever made that video...you can keep it. I'll take No.4 any day, every day over those fools

Julius Peppers, ugh

I still have nightmares about him singlehandedly beating us one year...at Homecoming, IIRC. It was ugly.

Yes, it was homecoming, and it was miserable.

I remember that game well too, for all the wrong that Peppers gave us. He completely dominated us.

Dalvin Cook Over ETN? Lamar Jackson over DW4? That poll is totally meaningless.

Nor is it accurate. This guy pulled some big names from the files and put them in the article.

Of course you can nitpick over the order, but I'm sure plenty of people would defend having Lamar and/or Jameis ahead of Deshaun even if most Clemson fans disagree.
Jameis was 27-1 at FSU, won the Heisman, won the Davey O'Brien award, and led one of the more dominant teams in CFB history to a national title. Sure he's a terrible person, but i don't think that was one of the criteria here.
Lamar's case is obviously more stat based since he didn't play on a team good enough to compete for a title, but he was an awesome player, won the Heisman (i know, i know, it's a joke award because Deshaun didn't win it), etc.
I do think Etienne > Dalvin Cook though. Cook was a great back, but Etienne is better.
