I don’t know what to be happy about the most:
1). That I don’t have to listen to his inane yammering as a color commentator.
2). Even if he somehow hires a quality staff, he’ll be there what, 4-5 years because of his age? This seems like a really big recruiting win.
I mean, it’s peak “we don’t know what to do here” from UNC’s administration.

The young guys will relate to Mack Brown just fine...as long as they are happy to hear the same stories over and over again about how good Vince Young was.

I would expect Gene Chizik to be hired as the head coach in waiting. Should go as smoothly as the Muschump head coach in waiting at Texas went.

All of us old guys think we still have value to offer. I have no problems with Mac, other than his grating voice.
He will hire a well above average staff and will give us fits in NC in recruiting. Good thing we have a strong line of success that attracts talent!
Btw - I agree, Kingsbury would be a fabulous OC!!!
You will see an immediate improvement in this Tarhole squad.

Mack had back to back 1-10 seasons his first two years in Chapel Hill in the late 1980's..
with the personnel on campus he may have a repeat performance

Sort of like that old sweater that you haven't worn in a decade that you pull from the back of the closet. It's still comfortable and a good fit, but people are still laughing behind your back at how old and worn you look.
