recently, maybe a David Hood article, that if we could get a good WR in the portal that could step right in an play, we'd take him if he was the right fit.

That's pretty close to being more catches than any WR on our team last season, isn't it. But last years WRs did have a really good excuse of why they didn't have a lot of catches, they called it the DJ syndrome

Jordan de-committed from SMU about the same time Garret Riley left for TCU
Jordan also de-committed from Oklahoma at one point (An old Riley family offense).
this seems like Garret Riley could be an influence. I would be super excited to see him be a Tiger.

In this case, Dabo would make the numbers work. Scholarships are 1 year contracts.

Be awesome to see him in a Tigers uniform.
Spring football is over and if a kid isn't happy with his place on the assummed depth chart the portal could start calling their name.
If this kid wants to play in a "Riley offense and we have room; and GR can convince Dabo" I can easily seeing us offer him.
We have offered kids in the portal before and just didn't get them.
It's either us: SMU or Southern Cal for a former 5-star and the mustangs are just in it because the kid apparently wants to be closer to the Ft. Worth/Dallas area.
If that's a non-factor, Southern Cal just lost Jordan Addison to the draft, maybe he ends up there. Caleb Williams and another 5-star WR. Or Cade and this 5-star WR doing work at Clemson.

We need Scott because he and his dad
had really good relationships with
HS coaches down in the state of Florida.
We took advantage of that for years
and now it's clearly missing.
Tons and tons of playmakers in
Florida and Texas. Need to hit those two states
hard every year.
