Congrats to them leaving Clemson and joining South Carolina. As Clemson fan for 58 years I hope these former Clemson players beat Clemson when they play series. They know Monte Lee being fired was wrong and beat Neff will be plus in their lives. Neff is becoming the most useless trash in Tiger Nation.

I have never saw it that way personally. My feelings on that matter is that if a Tiger leaves to be with another team, the Paw is left behind, and they are now what ever school, and team they chose to be at once they decided to turn their back on Clemson, and to see it any other way is giving them credit they haven't earned nor do they deserve!!!!
I mean, don't tell me how much you love me, but you are sleeping with someone else!!!

Agreed! It drives me nuts when a player leaves and those come out claiming once a Tiger always a Tiger. They are FORMER Tigers. Kelly Bryant is a Tiger, but a Mizzou Tiger. Not a Clemson Tiger. They divorced themselves from Clemson. Their diploma will read USuC chickens. Not, always a Tiger. Rolls eyes. ??

I loved Monte Lee at CofC and at Clemson. Hoping new Coach misses CWS first 4 years. The players that leave Clemson baseball are the only true Clemson Tigers supporting Coach over worthless Neff

He probably will be USC new Coach soon Lee as about to go to USC with last AD brought him Clemson. Clemson didn't give him time to build the program. Last 2 AD terrible. Any they were DAs too

It does hurt. Won't be surprised if they're not more. Lots of family in and around Lexington wanted a couple of the Lexington fellas to stay home and go to SCar.
Last summer 3 of them were on the blowfish with several SCar players. You form bonds. They were Ricky, Ty, and Dylan. All 3 did well in the coastal plains league. Dylan got real close to a couple of the gamecocks. Think he may have transferred regardless.
I'm shocked Ricky didn't stay because he liked the new coach. Not shocked he transferred to SCar where family and friends can watch them mid week etc.
Really can't blame Ricky. He didn't get squat for chances this year. No starts. Should he, probably so... He was rated top 300 players. That said, I wish him well. I will say he better develop some pitches going into sec competition or he'll do nothing but ride the pine and may end up transferring again.

I agree Clemgal. This one does hurt because he’s a good young man from a good family. But they were die hard gamecock fans until Monte came calling. Same with Brewer. Someone mentioned that these players were loyal to Monte, but that’s a definite no. From multiple players and parents, Monte lost this team a couple of seasons ago. The players were frustrated that certain guys were in the lineup no matter how badly they performed, but others were benched performing in the same way, if not better. There was little to no communication from the pitching staff and other than the starter, no one knew who would be in the rotation on any given day.
I can understand their frustration, but it is disappointing how these young men, who committed to be Tigers, yet didn’t even give this new coach and his staff the chance to sit down and talk with them to see what was going to happen. And they turn to our rival because it’s convenient for them.
Really hoping Olenchuck will stay a Tiger.

Columbia, SC is the semi pit of the world where Columbus, OH is the anus, (a-noose) of the world. Worst college campus I have ever been to. Columbia is not a great town. Not to mention your mascot is what’s for dinner. A chicken. Seriously?! I’m skewed, no doubt. Clemson is an amazing town with good eats, good bars, and great atmosphere.
At least we are getting a coach who understands baseball. Big ball just doesn’t work. Small ball>big ball every day of the week. I’d pay to go to Clemson before getting paid to play at USuC
