The state of South Carolina's top prospect announced a commitment date on Monday. Mauldin cornerback Jeadyn Lukus will announce his pledge on Wednesday to either Clemson or UNC. Really hope this young man chooses the Tigers. Not only is he exceptionally talented but he’s home grown. Need to keep Capn’ Bly and the Tarholes on the other side of that state line.

Just confirms what seems obvious to me:
(1) Since the announcement is in two days, he's known for at least a week what his decision is.
(2) He wouldn't have come to the cookout this weekend if UNC was his choice.

This kid is very good with wrapping up making tackles, and that's great, but once those kids get to college, are they taught not to wrap up in order to lower the boom for a nasty hit. I know that I would much rather have a defender that wraps the ball carried and puts him on the down on the ground, much more than I like seeing the big hit with the ball carrier absorbing the hit and picking up plus yardage. The ball is always spotted where the ball carrier hits the ground, and not where he got hit, just my observation/opinion!!!

When the top SC prospect is also a top national prospect with no character issues and no built-in SCAR bias, then it’s almost imperative that Clemson signs him.

I dont know what the numbers crunch looks like. I know we've recruited well at the position over the past 5-6 years. Seems like we still need a LB or two, maybe another OL, another DE, 2 DT, a TE and a RB. Is Saab a candidate to put on 20lbs and move into the Isaiah Simmons type role?
Regardless, I want Lukus in 0range.

We need you Lukus is the most important recruit in this class, we need his speed, quickness & height to cover big WR’s & TE’s. He could easily be a 3 & done player.

JLuk is being recruited very hard by Bly at UNC, they went out and got Duece who is his Mauldin teammate. My rising freshman son trains with YNT same as JLuk and Duece, so I have been able to get some insight of his recruiting. It’s been down to Clem and UNC for almost 6 months. It will probably be a Clem W in recruiting, it’s probably a 70-30 swing but Bly at UNC made a huge impression. I will tell you JLuk is not scared of competing and any corner on Tigers who think they will beat him out better wear their big boy pants when he steps on campus. Several of the corners in the 2022 class moved their dates up to try and secure their spot before he commits. I know I have personally been trying to get JLuk in orange since this past November. Whoever gets him is getting a baller with an extremely HIGH ceiling
