If your a current Direct TV customer they screw you cause it costs $199. I upgraded to it and like it so far as it has a lot more DVR space and it can recommend shows based on what you watch if you want it to. You can record something downstairs and watch upstairs if you have a direct tv box or client.

They have come out with wireless clients recently that don't need a coaxial cable that I am having installed Saturday. I have a man cave with 6 tvs so not having cables running everywhere is a plus for me.

One downside is if you have blue ray player surround sound type system, it only has one HDMI port so you will need a splitter of some type.
