I need a little help

My Mother passed away a few months ago and still grieving,
I was her caregiver and it was so hard to watch her die slowly
She is in heaven for sure and I will see her someday. Thanks

Hang in there! Don’t let the painful memories washout the good ones. Meditate on the good times…start with your earliest memories.

I have lost a lot of family and friends. As far as parents, I lost my Dad to cancer. Anyway, just try and live a full life the best possible. That's what your Mom would have wanted. Act as if her spirit is with you and live well. Make her happy for you.

First, grief has no timetable. For some it takes longer to deal with. Lean on your faith. God will never ever leave your side. Even on your darkest days there will be light again. Please reach out to any local clergy/pastor or any type of counselors in your area even if it's anonymous. God bless you for taking care of your mother. Maybe you should look into finding a way to help others in a similar capacity. Visit the elderly that have no family, volunteer with children, etc. Just don't give up, ever!
Father God please wrap your arms around this person so that they can feel your grace and know that your presence is forever. Comfort them and assure them that their mother is rejoicing and is whole again. - Amen

you're not alone. Some days will be worse than others. DO NOT sit at home staring at the four walls. Stay busy and do things you enjoy, even by yourself. Surround yourself with positive people. Fish, golf, go for walks, read, puzzles, anything to keep you occupied.

Spoken by a man who has lost a father, a brother, a sister, and a daughter, and still remains one of the most positive people I know.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother. It's obvious she had a dedicated son. That's what any mother would want.
Close your eyes and listen to her voice. She will tell you how to move on.

Hungry said it best but I would add find someone to talk to. if you dont have that get involved in something that gives you joy and gets you with people. dont just stew by yourself. there are pastors, friends , grief counselors. I was a teen when my dad dropped dead right beside me. It was years ago and I didnt have that kind of help people have now. It was something that would have helped me.

Always remember this:

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Tragic events can cripple anyone. Few of us can claim a life that doesn’t contain sorrow . I’ve lost both parents, a young wife and an infant daughter since I left Clemson and you don’t ever forget those kind of memories but you can’t allow that to rob you of a full life. My thoughts are with you. .

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine Heir of salvation, purchase of God Born of His spirit, washed in His blood Perfect submission, all is at rest I in my Savior, am happy and blessed Watching and waiting, looking above Filled with His goodness, lost in His love, This is my story, this is my song Praising my Savior all the day long This is my story, this is my song Praising my Savior all the day long,
Lean on Him. God bless!

Sorry to hear that, being her only care giver and your mother- is hard. You had a purpose in life and that was to give her the best that you had to offer.
You are empty in two different ways now. Go out and start doing things, put purpose back into your life. You gave your mother your all- now take time for yourself. I am sure it would make her even happier!

Every situation is obviously different. My mother-in-law is
Jun 29, 2021, 5:59 PM

96 years old, and up until a couple of weeks ago, was still mentally very sharp. She suffers from debilitating back pain, but was coping with the aid of pain meds. Now, a couple of weeks ago, she for sure had some kind of mental event, which has totally confused her, and as a result has become highly emotional about things real and imagined.
She suddenly believes she should be living in a house where she had not lived since 1966. Other timelines are also randomly scewed. Doctors say she has not had a stroke, but it is clear something has caused a sudden change. Attempts at medicine changes have only made things worse.
Her husband died nearly 20 years ago, and she has quite frankly been marking time since then. She often speaks her desire for the Lord to call her home to Him. As a family, it pained us to see her deteriorate physically, but that could be dealt with. Now, with her mind apparently permanently altered, I am not ashamed to admit that my wife, her brother, and I, pray nightly that the Lord will finally call her home. But, we know and believe that the Lord does these things in his own timeframe, and we can but petition him to make this His Plan.
Her son moved back home to live with her several years ago, and my wife spends a large portion of each day at her home taking care of her as well. Their roles long ago changed from children to caregivers. When the Lord finally does bring her home, we will all grieve for her. But, that grief will certainly be tempered with relief that she is no longer suffering the physical and mental infirmities of this world.
Both my parents went home to be with God many years ago. My father went first, followed 8 years later by my mom. I miss them both every day, but when I start to get melancholy, I picture them in their side by side recliners, eating ice cream and watching TV together, favorite pasttimes later in their lives. Then, I begin to smile. As I said, every situation is different. Find happy memories of your mother, and let them be paramount in your thoughts whenever you feel down. It will help, that's what good moms do.

Prayers for you and your family. It sounds like you were very loyal to her and you should take solace in the fact that you were there for her. Hungry Tiger certainly says it best. Keep up the faith and know there are many Tigers praying for you.

My mom passed away in January 2019. It was hard to let her go but she was ready for Heaven. That is what gives make a lot of comfort and peace. She is living completely whole in paradise. It’s the ones left behind it’s hardest for. I will be praying for you and hope that you God will bless you with peace and comfort. Mother’s are very special so I understand your grief. I read John chapter 14 which gives me comfort when I really miss my mom.
I hope and pray it will help your too!
