That, and the likelihood of them asking $70k for a $40k truck.

The worst car I ever had was a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. It fell apart after 3 years and so I will never consider another Jeep

When Mercedes bought them, it didn’t make Chrysler products better, it made Mercedes products worse. Glad that divorce happened, they deserved Fiat.

be awesome. No electric windows to break, simple engine/manual transmission combo. But, you know…Murica, it’ll have every stupid bell and whistle possible on it. No need for a Jeep logo pavement light when opening the door.

couple buddies had recently gotten new trucks, one of which was a Silverado '24 and one was a Tundra '25.
BOTH required electronics to open the tailgate.
like whaddafuq we coming to as a society when I need a #### relay to open a tailgate of a pickup truck?
I could really really use a bigger cab as my kids get older and what not, but these new trucks are off putting. I may try and snag my gen Tundra 2019 - 2020 range and stick to the V8 motor I currently have.

You could get a Gladiator with roll up windows, a 5 speed and V6. Thats it. Nobody bought it.
Everybody says they want that kind of vehicle, but nobody buys the work truck versions of GMs and Fords either, except fleet vehicles.

Related, when I was last in Florida visiting lilAPM we rented a Wagoneer.

Having rented a tricked out Yukon Denali last summer at Panama City.
There is no comparison. The Denali was head and shoulders better. The only thing I will say about the Wagoneer in its favor is we somewhat accidentally did some off roading and that phukker went over ditches and dirt like a boss.
The most off road I went in the Denali was over some beach sand in a parking lot.
