Amen brother! I remember the Red Parker days, the probation days, Ken Hatfield, Tommy West....
This is a awesome time to be a Clemson fan. Funny, I was going to post something similar to this and read your post.

Agree. We had it going inder Ford ....then you know what happened and in comes Hatfield. Then West. I am not a Bowden hater though ...he went hard after facilities upgrades and did have a few years where we were ok ...and he flat out owned the dirtpeckers. Dabo has really continued the theme of competitive infrastructure at Clemson , and oh yeah he wins a lot of football games and is a terrific coach and person that these high level recruits want to come play for. Anyone old enough to remember 1992-2008 should be all smiles with Swinney right now. GO TIGERS - beat the dirtpeckers.

On game days I can get as rabid as I was as a student.
The difference now is that I realize that no amount of ranting and raging will change the final scores.

If we agree that Fordmhas been the greatest coach thus far, then we have to give Dabo at least as much slack as Ford was given in order to determine how any subsequent coach might compare. If one wants ensure that Ford remains the greatest coach Clemson has ever had, run off Dabo.
It's good when you are winning and this year stinks, but this season hardly defines Dabo's tenure and his tenure isn't over. Those calling for Dabo's head are many of the same who predicted a blowout against FSU, UGa and GT. They are also likely to be those types who, would they be wearing garnet and black, would be the types we love to hate. I've got little use for such.

Nicely said Ithaca . Those types would be a hard to please bunch . Never a great idea to do evaluations based on an unrealistic expectation.

Tiger Fan living in the DC 'burbs ... so Redskins are our Team, even though many of us are secretly Steelers Fans (including moi)
TWENTY YEARS OF BAD FOOTBALL !!!!! How the heck did THAT happen ? From my experience, a bad game or two and Clemson fans go ballistic ...
TWENTY YEARS of bad Football? Was it like "Road Warrior" Apocalyptic ? Was there like people riding around in "technicals" and shooting each other over gas at the "El Cheapo" ... were there like Zombies and such all over the Campus?
Was Dan Snyder the A.D. during that time?

I wish you were wrong. I hope it is proved that you are - but things arent looking too good right now. Still, things have been up since Dabo took over, he has made adjustments when it was clear people or plans werent working. He has recruited well. Our players are a pretty good group of guys compared to the comparative prison gangs of other programs. I say this season is a dip and next year should see improvement.
Oh, and I hate losses to the Coots too.

Try 55+ years on for size! With the exception of the early 80's it's been pretty bleak! Everyone has off years, we have just had more than our share. How quickly we forget the Dr. Max Lemon years!
