I've been nothing but supportive of the young man. I solely blame Brandon Streeter. He has failed DJ. This young man has been here for 3 years and if he has not got any better, it's not his fault because coaching has failed to develop him. In year 3 he should be cleaned up mechanical issues, see you in the field better, slowing down the speed with his eyes and making better reads / progressions. Just think about how good Trevor was as a freshman but his sophomore year he regressed and his junior year he just out athlete people. Coaching failed him to because when he got to the NFL, he even said that there was things they had to clean up that he got by with at Clemson. All I'm saying, everything that Brandon Streeter touched has gotten worse. Let's don't forget Kelly Bryant he failed him as well. If I'm wrong then prove me wrong.

Great coaches build a system that fits the strengths of their players. They do not force players to try and fit a system.

We have a winner -- DJ was a highly rated pro-style QB -- ever since he got here,they have tried to make him an option QB -- sorry to say,but the experiment did not work**

I'm not saying DJ wasn't a miss but even misses get some better under good coaching. Streeter is a bigger miss than DJ.

we missed on "name your portal player" b/c of Dabo's stuborness to use it from the get go
we missed on Streeter
we missed on Grisham
we missed on Goodwin
we missed Oprah schollie handouts to backfill our transfers out
we missed on a GOLDEN opportunity to make a 2011 type OC hire to transform/re-establish this Clemson offense
we missed on a GOLDEN opportunity to make a 2012 type Venables hire to transform/re-establish this talented Clemson defense.
DABO flat out MISSED IT........he was blinded by his own success by thinking that "his way was the right way" and never thought twice about......"huh, maybe I need to change some philosophies about my program to keep it "cutting edge""
he needs to wake up and make the REAL TOUGH decisions that he's never had to make unless his job was on the line.

Now we know why Saban offered Bryce and even consider offering DJ. He saw something our coaches obviously did not see.

I have never been paid a salary anywhere close to what Dabo or even what the assistants make, and never will. But my boss always expected me to make the right call for our company even if it kept me up at night. I can’t imagine being told over and over by our customer base that a person is wrong for a position and me not considering making a change. Even if just to try someone else out in a position. Maybe Dabo has tormented over it, but so far I haven’t heard him publicly mention it.
