I know we "trust" DJ and Humphries, but I just don't agree

with them receiving as much playing time... especially Howard.
CJ Davidson isn't bad, but at some point, you've gotta cut the cord and play Gallman and Choice more. If those 2 guys aren't any better than Howard, then we are honestly just screwed at RB until Dye gets healthy.
We knew what we had with Williams and Peake, but Scott, Hopper, and Kitt were all pretty impressive. Scott and Hopper desperately need to become a bigger part of the game plan than Humphries IMO. He was fine when Sammy, Bryant, and Nuk required everyone's attention but that's about where it stops.
Our return game continues to be atrocious. How do we, CLEMSON, not have a single person who can be a threat to return a kick or a punt? Trotting out Humphries We haven't done anything special in the return game since Jacoby and CJ were here and a lot of that was thanks to Powell, his only positive attribute.

pass-block yet. They're better than Howard at carrying the ball, but Stoudt and Watson would get killed if those 2 received most of the snaps.

Howard is not good at pass blocking. I'd take my chances.***

I wrote about those two players in a other thread. Adam did well when Sammy was around and he looked really slow in kick off but at least he did not give them the ball. Howard is a third stringer and let's hope one of the other two young RBs kick it in gear or it will be a long season

Artavis Scott should take humphries duties in all facets. For a while there early on he was the only one with the balls to catch a pass.

dj doesn't seem to have much "feel" in the running game

which might explain why cj got more carries. i like cj though.
if you want to see an experienced rb step up & take on pressure, look at the replay of the block dj makes on watson's td pass @ around the 48 sec mark of the vid.

i don't think anyone has ever accused dj of being a "gifted" runner, but he "puts in" the work. i imagine they'll get gallman &/or choice more snaps as the year progresses.
i like humphries, i wasn't a fan of how they used him.
agree about the other wides, i like what kitt, scott, ghop[a new man?] & williams have to offer. i hope peake keeps getting healthy; looks like he could have a big year.

who have been there. Humphries is fine. He's a quality possession receiver and the best blocking WR we have. Howard will see his time decrease and all of Davidson, Gallman and Choice will play more. Davidson looked excellent yesterday. As for punt returns, it is clear they value someone who catches the ball over a big play threat. Danny was the same way. Green actually looked good on kickoff returns. Alexander and Scott could begin to get some time returning punts, but not until after Florida St.

I thought T.J. Green acquitted himself very well as a kick-off returner.
