They did pull it out in the end against that 15 seed. However there are six out of fourteen teams left from the league that was going to make up the entire sweet sixteen because they bought their way into it. It isn’t shaking out that way. I’d bet the farm that the SEC won’t have the best win% in the tournament again if I was a betting man. It was lower than the ACC last year in the NCAAT. It’s higher than the ACC this year but that’s what happens when only three teams get in. Way to turn on a Clemson fan calling out conference flag waiving interloper on our boards. I bet you guys were the ones giving tennesseevol TU for posting how great the SEC is. An SEC basking post has 25% pulse rate while an SEC pumper has 60+%?! Wow!!! Notes. Must be coots in disguise.

I could care less about the sec, but they are one of the best if not the best conference in basketball, football, and baseball.
Its sucks but its the truth. Something folks on this board can't come to terms with.
Get over the inferiority complex, and figure out how to get better.

By my count, they hung 101 on South Florida yesterday and play tomorrow with a trip to the Sweet 16 on the line, and they have a first year coach.

esecpn is paying big bucks to make sure their conference is buying the best players.... whether they are on the field or court. Just take a look at the rankings at any sport and they will promote the teams that have their 'rated' players in good positions. Happens every year.

I guess we have two choices then:
1) Step up our game
2) Get left further behind than we already are
Either way, the whining on this board because of the success of that conference has LONG been stale. The best sustained success we have had against any of their schools in the major sports has been against the Coots, and we only got them this year in baseball. They’re not even an upper-tier school in that conference outside of Women’s BB.
No amount of complaining about some kind of conspiracy or whatever is gonna change that.
Thankfully, this board is much like the radio station with Walt and Qualkinbush and the others- largely unknown outside of Tiger fans.
Move on.

That’s the point I was trying to make. At the time Auburn was on the ropes and St Mary’s was seemingly in command against Arkansas. I figured AllBarn would pull it out. Heck, I’m a fan of Bruce Pearl as I got to know him when he was a VP of marketing at HT Hackney while exiled from basketball. He’s a great coach and better person. He’s a genius marketing guy and was a heckuva recruiter for HT Hackney.
The SEC isn’t as great as everyone is claiming. They are a top heavy league in most sports. Baseball is honestly where I see the most depth. The ACC vs SEC head to head challenge was a matchup nightmare. They seemed to match the strongest sec teams against the weakest ACC teams. I’m not saying the ACC is as good as the sec this year. Historically it isn’t even close. But the gap isn’t quite as big as the media and fans claim it is either. If it was there would still be 14 sex schools still in the tourney.
People take things far too serious on here. No. I wasn’t day drinking. In fact I only drink on Friday and Saturday nights as I am a fitness nut and count every calorie. I spend five days a week and two hours a day running 4 miles over 30 minutes and lifting weights the remaining time.
I guess the big takeaway are the “Clemson Fans” showing more support for the SEC than a Clemson man calling them out. Everyone seems to forget fan is short for fanatic. Fanatic means an unreasonable love or support for a team. In reality being a fan is a derogatory term. I am guilty as charged! I see the world through orange colored glasses. Always have and always will.
I don’t fly the conference flag and live vicariously through other teams. I won’t be flying the ACC flag if Dook wins it all. That’s for fans of teams that don’t believe they are good enough to win it all and are satisfied riding the coat tails of a rival conference school. To me that is sad. Kinda like being a coot and bragging that Bama won another Natty. At least SEC fans are consistent. 🤣

Doing pretty good, thank you. Friday- Ole Miss, Florida and Kentucky won. Saturday- Tennessee, Auburn and Arkansas won. We'll see Florida, Kentucky, Alabama and Ole Miss play sunday. No need for me to ask about how the ACC is doing. It has to be embarrassing to be a part of that conference in about any sport. I suppose you know how the ACC/SEC Challenge turned out, too. By the way, how has that signing TWICE of the Grants of Right turned out???
This is not a shot at anyone on this board but to you only. The vast majority on here see things as they truly are and are very knowledgeable about football, basketball and baseball. Speaking of baseball, you've got a really good baseball team over there. That's the game of games for me. Maybe things will turn out OK for you fellows in the ACC but I can't see that happening. It seems no matter whom is in charge over there they are reactive instead of proactive. I don't wish failure for Clemson in anything. It's a great school in the South but happens to be tied to the wrong conference. Yes, we pull for each other over here in the SEC. The conference well-being is as important as any individual school. It's us against 'them'. We hung together in the late war and still do.
