If he knows the situation and where the fielders should be going he could have got in standing … he hesitated and tried to outrun the guy but the bag was unoccupied if he would have seen it sooner

Geez. He had a bad inning in the field but that was the right move. Give the UL pitcher credit. One heck of a play. It happens sometimes. No one was covering.
