From what I already knew about BV added to the majority opinion of you folks I suspect that any contact between Jaren Kanak and OU concerning his switching had to have been initiated by the kid and his family. Of all of the Clemson commits Kanak was the most natural fit to flip.

... any of our recruits and told them they were making a mistake.
However, I can see a scenario where Kanak and his family approached Brent and wanted to follow him to OU. Even upon Brent saying he thought he should think it over and stay committed to Clemson, they insisted.
The kid is a good prospect and he has the option to make the choice for which school ... and coach ... he wants to play for.
At that point, I think it's fine for Brent to take the kid.
While I wish Kanak was still going to Clemson, I don't have a problem with this.

I’m disappointed because he and his family understood with him committing that Clemson kept their word and didn’t recruit anyone else for his position. If he and his family weren’t fully on board with Clemson …. Not BV, but Clemson they should not have committed. While I wish him no Ill will I do hope he comes to regrets his decision not to fulfill his word.

OU's board - I believe they offered prior to Clemson. So if he does go there, he's obviously given a lot of thought to this and is doing it the right way.

I think it is safe to say that until our new coordinators prove their prowess and ability on the field then we we're going to have an uphill battle on any late or new recruits.
