Haynes needs more work.

He had a dumb penalty and that hurt his creds, but he seems pretty healthy and is quick.

Last week’s game (and the Pitt game) felt like what we tried to do last year: give the hurt guy (Shipley) the work load when Mafah was the more consistent back.

Mafah has been great! But you can tell he’s not himself and you can’t have that in 4th and short and in a game where 1-2 extra yards (instead of going out of bounds) could have made all the difference.

Work Haynes, pass, and repeat.

Mafah was not even average. He was slow and had zero push. Very few yards after contact. I love Mafah but he is not healthy. 62 yards rushing is not going to get it done.
