How about Tommy Tuberville from Cincy? He has been wanting back in the SEC since leaving Allbarn. He'd make a decent coach for about six years until his full retirement.

Coots think they can get Danantonio. But the chances are really slim of him leaving Michigan State.
If I were them, I would go after Ed Orgeron. He is a heck of a recruiter, has good energy and really wants to be a HC after his interim stint at the real USC so he would probably consider USCjr.
Oh, and Bobby Cremins too.

Charlie Strong. He won't be in Texas much longer and used to coach in the SEC at Carolina. Winning is not a priority, just want to find someone that will take the job.

SCvarsity has a thread stating that Bobby Bentley is a guy they are considering... A guy that couldn't cut it at PC as the HBC of the coots. That would be rich but I doubt it is true.

He hired Holbrook instead of Lee. Lee was responsible for a lot of the recruits that made him look great in baseball. If he can hire the right guy for the team that he knows the most about, I doubt he'd spot a good up and comer football coach.
