Played great tonight!! Hopefully they can continue to improve and build depth. Loved the scoring in the paint tonight, can’t be a live by or die by the 3 type team.

That's the difference in this year's team. We don't have to. But shown we can hit the 3 ball if they pack it in. Let's get thru these scrub games and we'll know what we really got in late January.
What really sets up nice is our easy schedule in conference. We only have 6-8 games on our schedule that we won't be favorites, and half will be at home. If we just win 25% of them.. that still gets us 20-22 wins reg season.

We don’t have scrub games in the next three:
Vs NCSU
@VT
@Pitt
Those are all going to be tough. NCSU is pretty decent but we should win that game at home. VT on the road at 9 pm will be tricky — and Pitt is better than some thought. Clemson really needs to go 2-1 in that stretch. They certainly can, but it won’t be easy!
Very encouraged by how well the team continues to pass the ball. 20 assists to 11 turnovers is excellent — and about 3 of those TOs happened at the very end of the game when it was well in hand.
I was also really pleased by what I saw from Dillon Hunter and RJ Godfrey. Dillon really handled the point well. He needs to show the ability to shoot/score with some regularity, but he will be a real player when he does — he defends, passes, and handles the ball incredibly well for a freshman. Godfrey is just a beast with a good feel for the game. Needs a jump shot and a tighter handle, but he is super athletic.
Keep on getting better and keep stacking those ACC wins!

I wasn't saying they were. If you read my post, I said late January. We have 10 games in that stretch. NC State, Duke, VA tech twice. I'm not a big fan of Pitt. There whst, 70'ish net. Anyway, 6 games we favorite, NC St at home.
If you follow my posts, I've been really bullish on this team.

I agree that you haven't given our team any credit that they haven't yet earned, and to me, that's being neutral with your feelings of a Brownell coached team, after all, he hasn't yet proved he can win the big games the majority of the time, and until he does, he don't deserve that kind of credit IMHO!!!

I'm glad to see us getting points in the paint. We didn't shoot the 3 well again tonight so it was nice to see us moving the ball inside and having success.

Not sure what was more impressive, the gameplan or the execution. Outstanding team effort, and when the defense plays like that, the Tigers can be competitive with almost anyone. Great way to go into the holiday.

around. It was great to see us not ease back later in the 2nd half when we had a nice lead, and continue to push the ball up the court and stay aggressive. We never allowed Ga Tech to gain any kind of traction and get back in it.
Great start to the ACC season. Hopefully we can gather enough of a crowd next Friday afternoon for NC State. Makes for a nice Tiger double header.

We looked like a totally different team than the one that lost to Loyola and USuC. I love the fact that we weren't hitting our threes but still found a way to score. And 20 assists - Wow! Keep it up, Tigers. Way to go!
