Good morning everyone how was your weekend?

Friday, late getting left but went up to Beech Mountain to hang out with some friends. Got to town at midnight after losing half an hour in Asheville. Made a wrong turn up skiloft road which had me as nervous as I've ever been driving. There wasn't really ice but the tires were doing some chattering going around turns and 4 wheel drive didn't help the matter. Finally get to the right spot and proceed to consume 7 beers in 4 hours.
Saturday, didn't really feel bad, I credit mixing in some water and getting to sleep until 11 am. Went down to Banner Elk for some lunch, then back up to Beech to drink more beers at the bottom of the slopes while the snowboarding crew did their thing. Pizza for supper then to bed at a much more reasonable hour.
Sunday, had to be checked out by 10 am which is absurd. Stopped in Asheville for lunch at the Burial Logging Camp. Get home at a decent hour but the rest of the day was spent watching Grumpy Old Men, Grumpier Old Men, and Urban Cowyboy. I should have been productive, but meh.

Not too bad.
Looked at a house yesterday. Thinking about selling my brand new house and moving into a 40 year old one. Am I crazy?

Fri - Took the wife out to dinner. Red Bowl (Asian fusion if you've never been). Her choice.
Sat - Fookin 'ell...sorry, binged some episodes of Peaky Blinders went to the gym, grilled hot dogs
Sun - Church, post church Valentine's luncheon for the women of the church. Me and some other fellas sang a little a cappella sweetheart thing. Gym and more Peaky Blinders. Made breakfast for dinner.
Sportsless weekend other than catching about 5 minutes of our BB game.

I ain’t riding this year so I’m observing with the rest of the hoi polloi. Didn’t go Friday night for the kickoff, but met friends for lunch on Satdee and saw afternoon and evening parades. Out of towners always have a whutdafuq? reaction to the spectacle, kinda funny. Saw a drunk dude roll off the back of a golf cart…didn’t even spill his beer. Almost impressive til the missus started fussing at him.

Friday...son-of worked his first non-training shift at his new/first job (store in the mall). He did well and, according to him, is the first employee ever to hit his sales goal on their first day. I assume being valentines day helped some. But he was excited and I'm just happy he has a job! Wife-of brought home Indian from Saffron in G'ville for dinner so we wouldn't have to battle the crowds trying to go out.
Saturday...lazy morning. Went to lunch at Bradbury Bistro in Anderson with wife and daughter...was very good. Home to watch the bball game on delay. Nice road smackdown of FSU. Wife wasn't feeling great so took daughter out of dinner at Red Tomato. Picked up son-of from his job and he hit target on 2nd day too. Don't remember rest of evening.
Sunday...skipped church cause lazy and cold/rainy. Made grocery run...wasn't an egg in sight at Publix. Made some sweet Dagwood subs for lunch. Took fam plus son's gf to fam valentines dinner at Sullivans. Had the Chilean Sea Bass over risotto, which was purty dang good. Watched the 50th SNL special and bed early.
All-in-all a nice family weekend.

Fri - piddled about, went out later and sang some karaoke
Sat - ran a shi>tton of errands. Got little one and headed out to Columbia to meet brother, SIL, and their son. Met at Dave and Busters so the kids could do their game thing, got a bite. Food was decent and surprisingly not overly expensive, and yes the clientele was exactly what you would imagine it to be.
Went to Flight Adventure trampoline park so the kids could jump. Then onto Craft and Draft for a couple beers. SILs former roommate Teddy came to meet us and brought his boyfriend. Those guys were funny. Little one was tired so cut the evening short and made way back to Aiken, but not before making a quick stop at Total Wine to procure every light, crisp euro beer I could get my hands on. This one’s for you ATL PAW MAN®.
Sun - not a lot. Got a phone all that a co-worker had passed away Saturday from a pulmonary embolism. I didn’t like the guy, he and I were like oil and water, but I hate to see people go out like that. Went downtown to play bingo, got there and no bingo but trivia instead. It was SNL themed trivia so we promptly crushed the competition.

but we had the kids so it was so-so. They have $2 tacos on Tuesdays and it is totally a great deal, but Friday was a good bit more expensive. We went in workout clothes and hoodies but there were people there with reservations and roses on the table, live music, kinda cool, kinda weird.
Saturday the weather was great in the morning. Daughter played in an adult Co-ed Beach Volleyball tourney, placed themselves in B-class before starting, went 2-2 in pool play but lost first match in knockouts. Decent job for two 13 year old girls playing on higher nets and against adult men. Then we drove to go get a dog.
Sunday was terrible rain & wind, Pet Smart for supplies, Publix for supplies for humans.

The weather was crap. Only went outside for a beer run. Missed my walks so I’ll make up for it today.
On the bright side, Tigers had a decent sports weekend.

Friday, took the day off, Mrs. and I went to do the annual bloodwork thing, left there, and immediately went to Hardee's for a pork chop & gravy biscuit and a steak biscuit, the heart-shaped biscuits were a nice touch. Didn't do much on Friday, cooked arepas and stuffed jalapenos for Mrs. Friday night and let the amateurs have Valentine's night.
Saturday, the weather was terrible so really did a lot of nothing all day other than watch the genocide of FSU basketball and kept up with baseball. Took Mrs. to Corks, Cooks & Books to eat Saturday night. I was going to make reservations at CC&B on Friday night for the 4-course pre-fixe dinner they were doing but Mrs. said not to spend $200 on that when what she really wanted was on the regular menu. Came home and watched the SNL 50 music special and then the very first episode of SNL from 1975 at 11:30. I Quite enjoyed all of that.
Sunday, nasty weather all morning but finally broke and I made the grocery/errands run. The score of the day was a Sublime t-shirt off the clearance rack in Walmart for ONE dollar. Back home, RH Sis and her boyfriend came and hung out for a while, she brought me a box of vinyl albums that a friend of ours sent for me to absorb into my collection which contained 6 or 7 first pressing absolute jewels. Mrs. decided on pizza for supper, then watched the SNL 50th anniversary special. Quite enjoyed that one too.
19/19 Covids, the weather was terrible but plenty worth watching on TV for a change.

Mrs ST, after a busy week, was happy to stay home Friday for Valentine's, so we ordered pizza from our favorite place, had a few dranks, and watched a good movie (The Substance with Demi Moore - check it out). This involved me trying a new bourbon (new for me), Knob Creek 9 Year. Delicious. Saturday was lazy with a few naps after running errands. The major accomplishment for Sunday was changing the oil in wifey's car.
Happy Monday!

Friday PM wife of and I went to Tigertown, few beers at TTT with pool, ate at Palmetto Oyster (was kinda mid), gymnastics meet, went back to lake, cleaned up and reorganized some stuff from Mom's move out on Sat AM. Sat PM went to her new place and put together a computer credenza for her. 3 1/2 hours later, dinner and beers. Yesterday just kinda hung out, got old chainsaw running that I found in a cabinet at the lake, hung with 2 sons of.

Friday - steak dinner for Valentines Day and a wonderful evening. I'll only say there's a reason I've been married to her for 30 years
Saturday - beer cracked by 11:55 for Tigers. So satisfying to see us kick the doodoo out of FSU on their own court in front of 2500 fans.
Took the other MSynan out to dinner at a sort of fancy tapas place. We liked it, but not as much as our go to place. The best was to come though, as I convinced her to go to the bar with me to see a Grateful Dead cover band. Once she figured out I could get the tailgating chairs out and camp in the parking lit outside and still hear and see the band, it was all good. Set break my buddy shows up. She says she's leaving, and then, you're staying with Brett for the 2nd set right? Ummm, heck yes. Fun times, but drinking from noon to 130am is hard
Sunday - napping, that Kevin Costner Horizon thing, and then finally the Daytona 500. Only got in the first hour or so of the SNL special. Will watch tonight
19/19 COVIDS because live music

Friday got takeout Thai, was excellent. Watched a couple episodes of the Pitt.
Saturday headed out in the rain to look for new living room furniture. Price tags made me feel like Fred Sanford. I check tigers hoops score - nice to have no drama, easy win games. Came home, rearranged living room to kind of analog test potential new furniture, looked more online. No decisions made. I made steaks for dinner, was pretty good. Wife-of started feeling a cold coming on and went to bed early. I watched USA hockey kick dust into face of Canada hockey.
Sunday Wife wakes up in full-on sick mode. Cough and achy. I spend most of day doing chores in the house. Make some pasta for lunch and later some kickass soup for dinner. Wife takes covid test for fun, negative and no fever. But coughing terrible still. We watch most of SNL50, that was fun.
Overall I would rate it meh with strong overtones of whatever. Will probably repeat but not by choice.

Took my mom book shopping at local goodwill, and Mrs Pabst found a treasure. We love Christmas and finding old ornaments. It's a Reed & Barton https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reed_%26_Barton silver Bell with 1994 Christmas inscription. Paid .99cents for it and loves it.
Then Sunday Mrs Pabst and I walked to the https://www.rosieswinegarden.com/ Rosie's wine and coffee garden when rain stopped and sun came out. Sat there for a few hours, then went to Optimist Hall and ate Indian food.
Great chill weekend.
