Rough day for the Tigers. Jacob's run has also come to an end. With at least one player on a non-advancing team in the clubhouse with a lower score than Jacob, he has no chance at being the low individual that makes it to the NCAA Championship.
We now sit back and hope that he doesn't get pushed out of the top 5 in the PGA TOUR University standings. The next rankings, which will include the results from the NCAA Regionals, are May 25, and then the final rankings, which account for the NCAA Championship, are May 30.

I know, and he gave it one heck of a run. Worst tournament in awhile for him even finishing t12.
Can only hope he's done enough to not fall below 5th. I haven't found one that's not advancing in the top 6 except Jacob. Manke is tied with Rivera from so cal. But Rivera is only playing as an individual since so cal didn't make it. If he beats manke, will that mean manke won't go? Cause manke is 6th.
Fitzpatrick is going at 7 but not sure he could overcome Jacob.

We'll have to wait a little longer to find out if Manke is advancing. As of right now, LSU would not advance and they have a player tied with Manke, so they would have a playoff to see who moves on. There are also a few others not too far behind that could catch him or pass him. We'll see.

God Bless you Schema. I was trying to do this with my phone... Then it dawned on me that use a pen and paper dummy. Anyway, I got frustrated and then saw your post.
This will be valuable to follow through. Guess we'll get a better understanding and point update next Wednesday? Think you said Wednesday. Not really concerned about 10-20 but you know better. If one of them win, could that propel them into top 5. I wouldn't think so.
Most concerned about manke and Fitzpatrick. Kinda glad coot didn't make it!!! My friends would have let me know. Haha.
Thanks again. You're a blessing. Another question, Matias La Grutta came in a couple years ago very highly rated. Top 50 national, no playing time? Obviously, you never know but I had high hopes he'd compete this year for the 5 spot. Is it something I'm missing.

I really don't know what to expect out of these rankings. I think this is only the second season of the PGA TOUR University rankings and I didn't pay attention to them last year. So, I'm really not sure how much someone can jump in the rankings this late into the season. For example, the 11 and 12 guys won their regionals. Is that enough for them to leap into the Top 5? I'm not really sure without having to dig for numbers and do a lot of math that I'm not up for doing. I'm just going to wait for next Wednesday. ">
One thing that does concern me a little are the bonus points that this article mentions for the top 10 in the NCAA Championships. If someone lower in the list has a great championship tournament and finishes near the top, will these bonus points make a big difference. I guess we may know soon.

I really don't know much about Matias beyond the fact that he is listed as a member of the team on the official site. When I was searching through all of the U.S. Open qualifying field lists, I included him in my searches, but I never saw him in any of those either. So, I'm not much help on what he is up to.
By the way, it looks like I could have held off on my research. This article has a nice summary. ">
