That would be great for him, and he does give a lot back to those causes he believes in. DW4 was raised right, and I am so proud he is a Clemson man.

I hope my comment doesn't age well. I love DW4 and watch him every chance I get. But he will not win a Super Bowl with that franchise and I hope he gets at least one ring before retiring.

I hope my comment doesn't age well. I love DW4 and watch him every chance I get. But he will not win a Super Bowl with that franchise and I hope he gets at least one ring before retiring.
I never count DW4 out of anything though I will admit with Bill O'Brien at the helm his chances are greatly reduced. If the Texans get rid of Bill O'Brien in the near future then DW4 may very well get more than one Super Bowl ring with the Texans.

what makes Hopkins so valuable along with his skills at receiver is his durability. He always plays. Thats hard to find these days. And that was worth the headache (for BOB) to keep him.

That would be wonderful and he deserves every penny but I'd rather see him get less $ and play for a team that values him enough to get some protection around him.

I surely hope that DW4 would never even consider any thoughts to signing a long term contract with the Texans, not with management that don't care about their players well being!!!!

Couldn't think of a better person to be the highest paid player. He is very well grounded and is a servant of people. He will give back no doubt! Just hope he can laid with a better franchise, one that cares more for their folks!

This is typically, in 5 years, synonymous with, “career not what was projected by experts”.
These max deals never seem to workout for either party.
I hope it doesn’t happen and he rolls, it he needs a lot more talent around him tho.

I love #4 but just like Wilson was not worth $35 million a year, Deshaun, nor anyone else is worth $40 million a year. I trust Deshaun will continue being a very charitable man but that makes the potential salary $109,589 per day or $2.5 million per 16 game season. Crazy.

Hopefully they’ll have a new HC by then. If not trade him to Vegas. DW is too talented to be getting hit as much as he does. Also trading his top receiving target really shows how “commited” the organization is to him.
