I retire right now and leave Clemson for good. We no longer deserve him. The world needs more men like him and he would serve a greater good building up people outside of the arena of organized sports.

I'm with you! The Ford situation was in a different Era. With NIL and a 8 to million/ year budget , we could get almost any coach we want. But we are not saying he should go, but he's a little big for his britches. He has to own his staff moves we sucked in tbe red zone because we have no high point recievers to challenge the corners. That's why it got tough down there. UT simply packed in at tbe line because we scare no one!!

I’ve never pretended to like Dabos overtly Christian beliefs. I also don’t like the guy at the gym yelling out how I need to be saved, or on the corner or at the mall. It makes me and even some of my most devout friends feel awkward. A polite Jeffersonian society would fail to mention one’s deeply held beliefs and otherwise focus on what we have in common. I don’t care to engage in this discourse with you because this is a football forum. I only brought it up because our coach acts like the bum at Times Square wearing the world is ending sign on ESPN every week

Well I don’t go to church and refuse to because I don’t like being preached at by sinners. In my life my encounters with Christian’s are fake people. In this instance I believe our coach to be genuine. I also have my doubts about the Bible but Coach Swinney isn’t overbearing on our players. I know this because I’ve had the pleasure of talking to some former players.

Man we are all sinners, and there will always be teachers.
Bible does not teach a man to not share his faith with others. That’s going against everything he or any true believer would believe. Tebow another example.
DO NOT get religion and Christianity confused. There are a lot of religious people in this world but few I have encountered are people of faith but more into the ritual aspects that they believe are good works. Huge difference. To each their own. One thing is for sure we will all die one day.

I believe he got the money because he did produce top results.
It’s like giving a QB a pay raise for a great year, but this is no guarantee that he will ever replicate that again.

In life, it’s all about updating your resume.
Clemson isn’t an elite program anymore. Our coach is the 2nd highest paid coach in the country and we haven’t been a top 10 team for 2 consecutive years.
If we are going to pay him much money, we need to demand elite results.
Dabo said Best is the Standard. We aren’t the best. Not even close.
