Is trump a Russian asset? Let's ask ourselves.

Yesterday someone was asking the same question and another one answered by a list of questions. That list grows almost everyday.

Which side profits the most of:

stopping the military aid to Ukraine: Ukraine or Russia?

stopping the US intelligence to Ukraine: Ukraine or Russia?

disengaging for Nato: US or Russia?

starting a trade war with allies: US or Russia?

menacing long time allies of invasion (Greenland, Canada, Panama): US or Russia?

speaking about resuming trades with Russia: US or Russia?

destabilising the EU with trade war and disengaging from old treaties which ensure a stable world: US or Russia?

stopping the fight against Russian hackers: US or Russia?

Proposing to vastly cut defense spending and move to de-nuclearize the US because "Russia isn't a threat". US or Russia?

Voting alongside North Korea against a UN resolution condemning the war because Russia was labelled "agressor". US (leader of the free world) or Russia?

...

What has Trump done that a Russian asset wouldn't have done?

True, but let's examine this further.

In 2018, the Trump administration approved the first sale of Javelin missiles to Ukraine, marking a shift from the Obama-era policy, which had only sent non-lethal aid, true.

The first shipment included 210 Javelin missiles and 37 launch units for about $47 million.

However, Trump initially delayed the aid, and later, in 2019, he was impeached for withholding military assistance to Ukraine while pressuring President Zelenskyy to investigate Joe Biden.

In 2025, he stopped all military assistance to Ukraine.

Nope. He still acts like an asset.

Late 1980's and early to mid 1990's. Sad fact is no one, not the NSA, not the FBI, not the CIA, no one has ever been in a position to investigate Trump.

The BIGGEST thing protecting Trump through the years, have been the anonymous LLC rules. And those rules enable money laundering, bribery, and all sorts of crap. Trump has properties in NYC with hundreds of units, and 77% are owned by LLC's with ZERO ownership info. Many were vacant. We know trump lost his shirt, filed for bankruptcy many times, then came out unscathed and more prosperous than ever.

I think the "Russian collusion" argument was misplaced. He was on the dole a decade or more before that.

And this is yet ANOTHER example of a video I saw on Twitter, that's gone. Lemme look for it.

There is growing concern among International observers and intelligence agencies about Trump's behavior.

There's a saying in the Intel community, too - "means + motive + urgency = action". Trump is giving any number of powers with the means - and there's a bunch of them, domestic, European, Asian, and Middle Eastern - a powerful motive. There are just so many powers that stand to lose huge if Donald tanks the global order. If his behavior reaches the point of spurring urgency, history tells us action is almost without question going to ensue. And we are also almost certainly at an inflection point. Donald is dancing dangerously close to some red lines...if it appears he's going to tear up the US's alliances in Europe and Asia, IMHO he will have crossed them.

There's also the fascinating question of Peter Thiel. JD Vance is his own handpicked boy, a guy Thiel's literally been grooming since Vance's early (and utterly unsuccessful) venture capital days in Silicon Valley. Thiel's a fascinating character, part of the so-called "Paypal Mafia", and he is very strategic and shies from the spotlight even as his former Paypal partner Elon Musk is a walking thirst trap. Thiel's a big part of the reason I think the so-called "Network State" is coming...he's an open supporter of it, has invested in planned city-state projects like Praxis, and he's on record saying "democracy is no longer compatible with freedom."

I don't know what Thiel's long game is, but he's German-born and has interests all across Europe...and he is a power broker in every sense of the word. Whatever his plan is, it does not involve allowing Russia to run amok across the continent. And JD Vance is a good boy and does what he's told. Oh, and BTW - Thiel was the one who got JD Vance named as Donald's VP running mate. Thiel met with Don Junior at the height of all those Apprentice style VP auditions at Mar-a-Lago...and shortly thereafter, Vance was announced. I'm sure it was all about shared ideology, seeing as how the Trumps are such ideological folks and not purely transactional in the slightest.

Whatever, it's very safe to say Donald got into bed with a man he neither understands nor shares an agenda with, and who has direct control over Donald's own replacement.

This is going only one way, and I almost think the question is "when" and "who", not "if".

FWIW.

So the new kook alternate reality is that nobody in the FBI, CIA or whoever else has ever been in a position to investigate Trump? Really?

That Trumps just spent the last ten years being ignored by every single one of those agencies, because of some as yet unrevealed reason?

Childish name calling - like your leader, sad. Here YOU go!

Mar 7, 2025, 9:16 AM

1. Stopping military aid to Ukraine – "Shouldn’t fund either"

The U.S. has historically provided military aid to allies to deter adversaries. Cutting aid benefits Russia, not just through weakened Ukrainian defenses but by signaling that the U.S. might not support allies in conflicts.
2. Stopping U.S. intelligence to Ukraine – "Only if it helps U.S. national security"

Intelligence sharing with Ukraine directly helps U.S. national security by countering Russian aggression without deploying American troops.
3. Disengaging from NATO – "Europe needs to pay their fair share"

While burden-sharing is a legitimate issue, weakening NATO directly benefits Russia, as it reduces deterrence against Russian expansion. Even Reagan pushed for stronger NATO.
4. Starting a trade war with allies – "Wut? Maybe with China"

Trump’s tariffs targeted not just China but allies like the EU and Canada, disrupting global trade and creating friction among U.S. allies. Russia benefits from a divided West.
5. Menacing longtime allies (Greenland, Canada, Panama) – "Why does Denmark own this anyway?"

Calling for invasions or dismissing allies as disposable undermines U.S. credibility and aligns with Putin’s goal of destabilizing Western unity.
6. Speaking about resuming trade with Russia – "Trade should not be a political discussion"

When a nation invades its neighbor and is sanctioned for war crimes, trade is political. Advocating for lifting sanctions benefits Russia, not the U.S.
7. Destabilizing the EU by trade wars and treaty withdrawals – "?"

The EU is a major U.S. ally. Undermining its stability benefits Russia, which seeks to weaken Western coalitions that stand against it.
8. Stopping the fight against Russian hackers – "U.S."

Trump downplayed Russian cyberattacks, refused to impose harsher penalties, and even suggested inviting Russia back to the G7 after interference in U.S. elections.
9. Proposing to cut defense spending & move toward denuclearization – "No"

Trump spoke multiple times about reducing U.S. global military commitments, which would make it easier for Russia to exert influence over former Soviet states and beyond.
10. Voting with North Korea against a UN resolution condemning Russia – "What war is the U.S. involved in?"

The resolution was about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The U.S. traditionally leads in condemning aggression, but Trump's alignment with Russia here was notable.

that seems like a tough assignment to keep in the shadows for so long. But I’m not saying it’s impossible.

I do think Trump is looking to de-escalate the war and help bring some of that 160B+ back to the US for other spending purposes. (Social Security, Medicare benefits, etc) The US keeps borrowing and building debt that is not sustainable.

The mineral deal needs to happen as much of this fertile land is in Russian acquired territory as part of the war. The goal would be to pressure Putin to give as much of that territory back to Ukraine as possible. If that can happen, then US and EU businesses can start mining operations in those areas. Russia would really be wanting to start WWIII if they tried to attack and occupy those areas in the future. If that came to fruition, Russia is deterred, we (and other partners) get the minerals and Ukraine get an economic partner in the west. (Hopefully, business partner security)

First goal is to stop the fighting, stop
sending that money which supports it, get the parties to the table, and hammer out the withdrawal.

I don’t see any scenario where Ukraine joins NATO, or Russia gives back Crimea and the Donbas. Many experts who aren’t Russian assets concede this.

He's a Russian asset, but he doesn't realize it. In the first term, he was influenced by convicted Russian assets Manafort and Flynn, among others. Some, like Stephen Miller, just share the same goals as Russia but aren't direct assets. 1) Russia is not going to give up any occupied land beyond something to equal the small piece of Russia that Ukraine occupies. That's a critical point for Putin to keep power, the sacrifice of 200,000 dead and 600,000 wounded can't be for naught.
2) The best option is to convince Russia to allow an EU peacekeeping force with the promise that Ukraine won't be allowed to join NATO for a generation, at least. The occupied portions won't be recognized by the EU, but China, N Korea, Iran, and maybe the US will recognize it (until Trump is gone).

Dangle the carrot that Ukraine can't join NATO while it means something. It won't matter after Trump breaks NATO and the remaining countries have to start a new alliance.

the Donbas after they invaded back in 2014. That just allowed Putin to claim victory, bide his time, and do what he’s been doing the last three years. This time it needs to be different. Will it be? Who knows. That should be the goal for sure.

It’s seems like Ukraine to NATO is a non starter. No one has had substantial interest in that approach since it was first proposed back in 2008.

I think NATO is done now with Trump in power. He’s hellbent on aligning with Russia. The EU will make a new defensive alliance with everyone but the US. The trick is the wording of the next treaty.

Forget about his words. Look at his actions....

His actions suggest he's pro-Russia. And this goes back to the 1980's.

The Russians had an operation where they tried to develop Trump into an agent. I don't think he ever "officially" took the bait. But he has done what they wanted, and very often uses their own propaganda in his "tweets".

He's cut off military aid to Ukraine. He's suspended cyberops that were aimed at Russia. There was the UN vote, where we lined up with dictatorships across the globe in refusing to condemn Russia. In Trump 1.0, we left the Open Skies treaty. MAGA is advocating trying to push Zelensky out. Trump is also trying to kill foreign aid programs that Russia detests.

All this stuff serves to help Putin. Whether we call him an asset or not, he's pro-Russia.
