You folks are completely brainwashed and drinking the Dabo Kool-Aid. Alabama has the number one recruiting class every year. They also use the portal. They had three starters this year from ACC schools. That doesn’t count starters from other programs. And that’s Alabama! But we don’t need the portal! How dumb can you be!

....Norvell seems to be able to convince kids in the portal that FSU is the preferred destination for him.
From what I hear, Norvell and staff see him as more than just a traditional TE. He played some RB at SC. He is the "multi-purpose athlete" that fits into Norvell's offense. Expect him to line up at TE, H-back, in the slot and maybe just a little at RB. FSU desperately needs a quality pass catcher at TE.
Big get for FSU.

Bret, you're getting a player. Sure wish we'd gone after him. He'll be used like Deebo at San Fran. I know no one on here ever wants to admit that uofsc can have a better player than we have on our roster but it does happen.
Congratulations. And yes, he's probably better than briningstool. Last I heard we only have one good TE and that is Jake. And we really don't have a clue how good Jake may be.

We've been blown out three times since the first portal class by teams with program changing portal players.
We've been beaten a total of 6 times by teams with starting or contributing portal players of our 7 losses since then.
And that's just Clemson's experience.

What difference has it made. Please cite examples, and don't tell me how "but Alabama has transfers, blah, blah, blah..". Bama has w losses and transfers haven't helped them one iota. UGA has zero portal kids playing. I don't know about Michigan or OSU, but I will double dang guarantee portal transfers haven't elevated them to the playoffs.
Teams like LSU and FSU have gone deep into the portal, but only because they needed bodies and quick fixes. We're a better team than than both, and we have zero transfers.
Some folks are lunatics, "adapt (to the portal) or fail". Where do folks get this crazy stuff? The best team in the country has zero portal kids. Are they not "adapting". Give me a break.
The portal isn't some sort of magic store where you go and build a powerhouse. Portal kids can be good, sure, just like a typical recruit, but they're leaving programs where they weren't starting for a reason.
Portal kids can fill absolute starting needs within a program, but they are being recruited or transferring to add depth and build programs.
Please give me the examples of the team changing their status via the portal, and please leave out teams who had no choice but to get bodies from there.

Bell is a "me first" football player. He whined and cried the whole year and this is who some of you guys are crying over? Definitely not a guy this staff would have went after to begin with. If he isn't getting what he believes he deserves he'll be a cancer. Good luck. You see the fact that some of you refuse to understand Dabo and keep forgetting is that football isn't #1. He isn't going to compromise bc some fans believes the happiness to life is college football. Look some football coaches will sell their soul to win, Norvell I believe is one of those. So maybe instead of complaining about something you have no control over and isn't going to happen the way you want should tell you it's ime to move on to another team. You'll be happier. IF not shut up bc your complaining means absolutely nothing.
