VERY LATE BOWL GAME

Dec 20, 2011, 8:53 PM

Normally our bowl games are dec 31st or before majority of the time. But due to a major BCS bowl we have a very late bowl game Jan 4th and that comes with more practices meaning more work for the returning players and next in line starters.

The part about going to "Power Hour" with Batson

Dec 20, 2011, 9:26 PM

made me cringe.

"OMG LOOK I CAN SQUAT 600 POUNDS AND BENCH 400 POUNDS BUT I GET PUSHED AROUND BY A WAKE LINEMEN WHO DOES HALF OF THAT...LOL I HAVE TO SQUAT AND BENCH MORE I GUESS."

Seriously, these kids need to start focusing on cleans and snatches. Being a lineman is all about attaining maximum strength as fast as possible. Slow controlled movements that Batson loves does next to nothing for a lineman that needs the burst!

I was involved in several "Power hours" in college

No wonder the young offensive linemen aren't ready to play. Drinking a shot of beer every minute for an hour, rather than attending position meetings is no way to get ready for a game

...Unless your Stephen Garcia

IMO, #83 is the only Jr worthy of going early.***

situation. The success or failure of the entire team next year rides on their shoulders. It doesnt matter how many sammy watkins a team has, if the OL sucks the team will suck.
