Yep for sure Finebaum is the #1 AHOLE that has helped ESECPN push their label of the SEC type player. It's just a label that they push to convince the unknowing that the sec has a type of player supposing to be bigger, faster, tougher, and smarter than all the rest of the players not playing for an SEC school. How do they explain that when the SEC has to compete with everybody else for players. They don't have to explain bc the others allow them to ignore the question if ever ask. When I do ask them the question about the sec type players, I keep repeating my self until I get an answer, and they can't answer it without using their own logic that it is total BS, and they really get mad when you point it out to them bc they have convinced themselves that there is a sec type player. The biggest difference is that they get into more trouble than any of the other conference players do!!!

Big Interest. Big Stadiums. Must mean, uhhh wait

Ugh, if we have bigger stadiums. More rabid fan bases. Less to do than other people; so we put all our energy into football support.
Silly SEC Rabits - it don't mean that the same player that could have chosen Wake that choose U of Suck is all of a sudden better! Or the kid who could have gone to La. Tech or LSU for that matter. Or Arkansas Pine-Bluff vs. the sue-wee Razorbacks! No dumb dumb! It only means, you have more fans who like to tailgate! You have boosters who want to hear good stories about their team. This more than anything is why the SEC hype is so out of hand.
Besides Urban Meyer and winning two at Florida. What other SEC coaches won consistently outside of Saban? Fulmer won one at TN. Spurrier won one at UF. Chizik won at AU. With Scam Newton.
So, SEC fans can just chuck it. Saban has won a bunch the rest not so much. And schools count only b/c Saban was at LSU prior to Bama. Take Saban and Meyer out - both having done it at multiple schools - and you aren't all that! Take a freak of nature QB Cam Newton out and Auburn gets beaten by the Ducks!
One or two players or coaches difference does not warrant the hype!
Oh yeah, Coach Swinney is getting free rent in Finebaums head! He living in there.

Actually...
Add LSU & Miles to that list.
I think the "one and done' SEC championships actually aid their case. It isn't like one team dominated for a decade and a half without question. They had 5 different schools with a Natty, that is even more balanced than the ACC bazketsballs. The ACC only has 2.5 (Tigers, FSU, GT) if we extend it.
That being said, the SEC bias created the 2011 season BS, whereby a 1 loss Bammy got a rubber match with LSU is the most boring game of all time. Meanwhile an OkState team with only 1 double-overtime road loss got the shaft.

Including LSU with Miles as well that's 5 teams that have won the NC, and Georgia as a 6th team made the NC game a year ago. I don't see how you could argue that as being unimpressive when you compare it to other conferences. The ACC has 3 in a similar time period if you count Miami. The Big 12 has 2(Oklahoma and Texas) The PAC 12 has USC, and it's been quite awhile for USC even. The Big 10 has just Ohio State.
Sure, that doesn't mean every single team in the SEC is on that same level or anything, or that teams from other conferences such as Clemson can't be the best in the country during a particular year, but it's not as if the SEC is 100% media hype without doing their share to earn it on the field.

It feels like more than 3 is a possibility to me also and I’m a borderline pessimist. It’s something about the Clemson culture and Dabo that just makes me believe and never doubt. I find it funny Clemson has gotten every ESecPN “experts” questioning their very existence and learning not to doubt these Tigers after that beat down of big bad bama in the title game

isn't the other things that are wet because of wet water? If water was dry, it would not get other things wet....therefore, water is wet.
by the same token, everything Dabo touches turns to gold

Ears , just can’t give Clemson it’s dues without the usual they have an easier path comment . It’s ok and Im sure at the house you really don’t care one way or another but you do know the Tigers are not going anywhere. Except for Bama and maybe UGA but we can’t tell about the Dawgs. Because they beat the cupcakes and lose to any team with a pulse. The SEC is way overrated.

That interminable caveat that precedes any compliment of the team that Clemson is or the accomplishments that they've earned through hard hard work and determination on the football field against rhe nation's best ... when it counts . " They have an easier path in the ACC " .

I wish people would point out which teams on an SEC schedule would be a huge challenge for us assuming we'd trade spots with Alabama. I do agree that playing Georgia in the SEC Championship game this past year was a tougher task than us playing Pitt. However, we've had several years of playing a high ranked team in the ACC Championship game including a top 10 Miami team last year while Bama has played at least a couple of unranked teams such as Missouri and Florida themselves.
Outside of that though, what teams on Bama's schedule last year were going to be a big problem for us? Bama dominated the regular season, so why couldn't we? Their toughest regular season game was A&M whom we also beat. LSU wasn't going to be a threat to beat us with that offense anymore than they were a threat to beat Bama, same for Miss. State. Beyond that, Tennessee, Missouri, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Auburn? Those teams all would've fit right in with the ACC last year.

To add to my point, when talking about playing in the SEC people like to always imagine a schedule where we'd play Bama, A&M, LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, and whichever the next 2 highest ranked teams would be. South Carolina will come about as close to that next year as you can get, but people overlook that you're actually lucky to play half of those teams. South Carolina hasn't played Albama in close to 10 years, hardly ever plays LSU, and hardly ever plays Auburn. They did get to play an Ole Miss team with a losing record in addition to playing Tennessee, Missouri, and Vandy from their own division.
