Coaches offering players who are already committed elsewhere? Or is that just if it happens to one of his commits?

That doesn't support your assertion. That was a situation

where a guy was verbally committed to Clemson and took other visits. The coaches have said repeatedly not to commit to Clemson unless and until you're sure.
Anyway, this particular situation could have also been a case where the guy misled the coaches about taking other visits.

hs job for "code of conduct" violation.
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/otl/news/story?id=6600377
What also upsets Merritt and others is that some 7-on-7 coaches, or "non-scholastic coaches" as the NCAA labels them, are injecting themselves into the recruiting process.
For example, former South Florida Express assistant Jon Drummond told "Outside the Lines" and others that he was the go-between for Express players and college coaches. That was before head coach Brett Goetz said Drummond would not be returning next season, because he violated a "Code of Conduct" Goetz makes all coaches sign. Goetz's "Code of Conduct" essentially states that his coaches cannot use their relationships with prospects for a profit.
Drummond told ESPN that "everyone knows coaches are being paid something extra to bring recruits to campus" while denying he's one of them.
Many 7-on-7 coaches, including Drummond, drive carloads of players to campuses for unofficial visits. Some coaches are paid to work camps those schools host. Some claim to receive "gas money" from college coaches.
"And maybe something for McDonald's," Drummond said.

The message: Don't commit if you are unsure/want to look elsewhere.
Not the message: Don't get offers if you've committed

Dabo feels if you are committed you don't take visits. He just wants to know if he needs to continue recruiting the player or not. If a player is willing to visit Clemson that is committed elsewhere. Then he isn't committed. Why is this so hard to understand?

While it is not a 100% accurate indicator

It is an indicator nonetheless. More than not those with abnormally low pulses serve little contribution to board discussion. I can appreciate a well-structured argument whether i agree with it or not. A statistically significantly low tiger pulse allows users to identify obvious trolls. If you make your point nobody worth their salt will use your pulse against you I would hope.

That is no where near the same situation. Clemson OFFERED him. That is different if you are committed and taking visits elsewhere.
What if the kid decommits from State with no Clemson offer? Well he obviously won't even give them a chance now won't he?
Lol, another coot grasping for straws...
