B/c neither team deserved to win this game.
SMU tried to give it away w/ 6 turnovers, Duke does nothing w/ them & blew 2 FG chances in 4th.

a team ranked in the top 25, also, one new to the ACC, and it looked like the stadium wasn't even half filled.
Secondly, the play-calling by Duke was poor at best. There they were, still in regulation, with four downs, and playing not to win but to line up for a frigging field goal! We saw how that turned out. Then, in OT, they gamble on a two-point conversion, which failed also, and the loss. Risk-taking, sometimes, is worthy, but at that point, they should have made SMU beat them in scoring.

Dumb play calling. I said watch the fg backfire because u get a fumble and return it to the 13 yrd line and never attempt to punch it in for fg , a fg is never a sure thing and it cost them , was hoping for a smu loss

Teams would play the OT(s) … no change …
For evaluation purposes, though, the OT games would count as tied games. Were that being done the ACC standings would show SMU in 4th.
