Good. Some voices shouldn’t be amplified. Cracking down on the spread of radicalism, conspiracy theories, hate speech, and disinformation on social media is long overdue.

I personally am skeered of idiots using the Apple Store apps to mount an armed insurrection. You know, like the one a couple days ago.
Of course, I am also skeered of Apple too - mostly in the way they harvest and then sell on our personal data to third parties who then use it, mostly in targeted misinformation - so I don't use social media for exactly that reason either.
Solves my problem, anyhow.
The push-pull of regulating an essentially unregulatable feedback engine - which is exactly what social media is - does not have an obvious answer, beyond: unplug the durn thing. Social media might actually end up being incompatible with civilization itself...certainly there's a growing consensus algorithmic feedback targetting probably is.
