With hat tip to David Hale ..
During the CFP era, only 8 quarterbacks have had a season in which they accounted for 4,100+ total yards, 43+ total TDs, and 7 or fewer turnovers.
5 of them won the Heisman. 2 more were Heisman finalists. The other was 2024 Cade Klubnik.
Check out the posted graphic...
In hindsight...He was slighted last year for what was a statistically strong season by all measures.

What Cade did against Texas with zero threat of any sort of running game was magic. If he is anywhere close to how good he was in that game this season, we will be just fine. Just need to defense to do their part and it could be a great year with a little luck and minimal injuries.

Clemson QBs aren't allowed to seriously enter the Heisman Trophy conversation.
I thought this was a settled matter . 😉

Definitely not fair to Cade but it also definitely helped us keep him another season at a reasonable price. If he had been a Heisman finalist he may well have gone pro and/or had even more opportunities to leave and play elsewhere next season for big money.

It makes sense once you understand that CK2 winning the Heisman has

…NOTHING to do with Cade Klubnik, but EVERYTHING to do with the Heisman voter’s disgust and revulsion for Dabo Swinney.

Watson and Lawrence’s Heisman invitations were only titillations, nothing more. Watson and Lawrence had ZERO chance winning that award.
The sports media will hang that carrot in front of CK2 with the hope of distracting him from his real mission and goals.
I am 100% confident that CDS will on a daily basis coach Cade to focus on the team and his own performance within that team oriented goal.
I have ranted about this a number of times before on this board, so I’m quite sure people are tired of my soapbox on this Heisman issue. However, I am just as weary of reading these Heisman-hope stories on this board, when I know it will never happen.

to win the Heisman. If Clemson has a candidate, he will be a candidate. End of discussion.
And Dabo knows better than anyone what that could mean to his program. But his focus is on other things.
Like, giving his players playing time, winning games we're supposed to win and resting the starters when the game is out of hand.
I trust Dabo in all of those decisions, and wish all of you dissenters could understand why. He knows what he is doing, and has a track record that proves it.
Yes, he is still 'human' and might make a mistake here or there. But his scorecard is almost perfect, and I'll take his choice over yours any day of the week. Period.
Go Tigers!
