Maybe Dabo should start looking into the portal, too. Treasure trove of good players with experience.

We’ll let the coots get the ones that couldn’t play elsewhere! We have talented players already.

I see that portal players already having college experience that you couldn't see in the HS recruits. The portal has it's good and bad, but I don't think that either side of that spectrum outweighs the other in most cases. So, getting portal player could be a plus depending on what a coach/team needs the most, and what could make a big change with them, than without them!!!!

It’s a great class with the DL help we needed and the OL strength we needed to build. With some good WR’s and DB’s too.
Most programs would love to have the recruits we got without tons of NIL money ?
We need one of you billionaires to come off some interest money to pay a few guys for advertising lol.
Let’s go Tigers!

As you stated the key is landing a top 10 class without the promise of upfront NIL money. In a fair world the rankings would have a * by the name of the teams who choose to break the rules.

How are teams “breaking the rules”?

Shh, you’re busting the myth that we don’t have money and can’t compete

with the “big boys” when it comes to NIL.
You see, this myth allows for people to believe two key things that are very important to them:
1. Clemson is blue collar, and doesn’t have much money, so any success is solely due to hard work and overcoming nearly insurmountable obstacles.
2. Not getting a recruit was a result of us being unable to meet his financial demands, thus being a ready made excuse for any perceived recruiting failures. We can pat ourselves on the back for “doing things the right way” while bemoaning the lack of morals everyone else has.

This has the look of a class that fill needs with many victories to come. Great job.
